charge through ZOC square
charge through ZOC square
Does anyone knows why an enemy unit could attack my archers by passing through the primary ZOC square of my cavalry. My lancers faced diagonally to that squar. It happened to me the second time, I do not know where I go wrong, any ideas?

So if I turned the archers 45 degrees then the unit couldn't be attacked? It doesn't make sense IMHO.

Yes, that's my understanding, since then your unit is only in the primary ZoC of the cavalry unit.

Re: charge through ZOC square
That is correct if the spear is ZOC'd by 2 primary ZOC's it can choose which one to charge. It is the unfortunate "gameyness" of ZOC. I do not see the problem in always allowing a unit to attack a unit directly in front of it irrespective of ZOC's. That would eliminate the "gameyness".

Thanks for answers, still learning something new.
