"Useless Heroes"

Post by Koki_7777 »

This might be known by veteran players but i want to mention for new players, don't discard heroes with aiming assistance and leadership they are broken. Put them to recoon unit for maximum efect, Aiming generetes 40XP per assistance without even concidering recoon bonus, leadership even more but smaller hex cone make second in my list. If you play with your recoon units to maximiziting this effect assisting artty, bombers, ect. you can easily end up with 4 or even 5 star recoon on a single map. Now you will ask so what would i do whit a tiny usleless recoon, let me tell you if you play with big 4 especially whit trophy of war you can turn that usleless little car to a monster in the next map. 3 or 4 star KV-1 or KV-2 or T-34 when you have Panzer 3 and 4 are no joke, or you can have superior french thanks earlier whathever you like.

"Wecker"... "Throw-a-Tank-Tread-Track-Wrecker"... as an Example!.

Perhaps having or including a few 'Incompetent-Specialist-Special-Pieces-of-work'... which upon initial inspection... would seem just fine for the task at hand,... but when finally assigned to a Unit... would now be very-difficult if not 'Impossible' to remove [Remedy?... removal by Death!]... as well as... you would ALWAYS have to deploy them, there would be no-way-out to avoid these low-life-entities!. They would at this point... be a vexating-thorn in your side... creating incompetency_ chaos and disruption

Further-More!:
Even though... this 'Hypothetical' aspect of the GaMe will likely never-ever be realized... but... it's still quite fun to play-along with the 'Idea'... for just a short while longer!.

More Concept Details:
There should be a 'Delayed' or 'Lag-Time' period of elapsed time that passes over first... before your new initiate 'Commander' decides to do an 'aberration' and then... go 'Rogue' on you!. This makes the effort of quickly restarting the Game to circumvent or by-pass the negative-effect of acquiring a 'Stinker' into your ranks... to now use the 'Re-Start' option to in effect... 'Get-Rid-Of-The-Problem'... a much less likely event to occur.

Nodder One!:
Your 'New-Initiate-Recrute'... could also decide to 'Defect'... and change alliances... then go to the other side?... possibly?.

Furtherance on this... can be left up to ones imagination... go-forth!... go crazy!... with some new ideas!.

Heroes are what you make them.

People who describe tools in games as useless, are almost always wrong.

Sure, some tools are better than others, but anything can have a purpose.

It's like, imagine if you could build Cargo trucks. Zero attack, terrible stats, I think in game they cost 48 prestige and 1 slot... At first blush that seems like a terrible unit.

But it could be used for blocking and encirclements, making it really powerful situationally, since the slot cost is low and trucks move quickly. Losing them, isn't a big deal since they cost nearly nothing.

It actually takes a lot of thought and testing to truly come to the conclusion that something is useless. Just because it's not rapid fire x2 hero does not mean it is useless.

After AO1940 introduces the Wasp MkIIC even Ferocious Defense starts to be come sometimes viable. I'd say it's not really about how powerful the hero is, but how often the ability comes into play. For example effects of Sixth Sense are amazingly powerful, but realistically how often does one expect to get ambushed and more than that - with the exact unit that happens to have the hero.

I know Edmomd if you play decent no heroes are needed, but that wasn't my point. That heroes breaks the game mechanichs in early stages of the games. I will point Fantasy general you wont have OP units or heroes early.
I love this geme and wish to see it harder and unforgiven!

Heroes is the most (and one of the few) interesting feature of the game. It's so boring to play the 2nd, 3rd & so on times without heroes.
Panzer Corps 2 is the most ahistorical game in the history of WW2 games
