Weekly round-up
LuciusSulla (Achaemenid) has made a very strong start in Division A by winning his first 3 matches. His mostly likely challenger is last season's runner-up in this section, harveylh (Macedonian) has started with a win, but Questar17 (Etruscan) is currently in second place having secured 7 points from his first 2 starts. A slower start in Division B where newcomer tyronec (Syracusan) has started briskly with 2 wins. desertedfox (Gallic), looking to bounce back from last season's relegation has also started with a win. Division C has all the makings of a tight contest. Veteran ulysisgrunt (Gallic) is the early leader with 3 wins from 4 starts and he is pursued by SawyerK (Greek) who has 2 wins from 3 matches. joggy (Spartan) is racing through his matches in Division D and his 3 wins from 6 matches has put him top of the table for the time being. Again, I am expecting this to be a very tight division with several promising players in their second or third seasons in the line-up. Division E has started slowly as well with just 2 matches completed so far that saw wins for CoryC (Pontic) and Captainwaltersavage (Roman). Delbruck (Achaemenid) is the leader in Division F with 3 straight wins, one of them being against Ray552 (Seleucid) who has also won 3 matches. MarcoCato75 (Roman) and Malabar (Thracian) have also picked up points from their opening matches.

Morat (Ostrogoths/Germans) beat lydianed 48-19

Tough battle - where for a while the Ostrogoth horse struggled to make inroads against resolute Caledonian infantry. In the end the Ostrogoths managed to find a few flanks and break into the Caledonian centre, while the forces on the flanks just managed to hold up their foes for long enough to claim a win.

Newcomer ericdoman1 (Indian) has established a clear lead in Division A after posting his fifth win from 6 starts. His closest challenger at the moment is ConstantinIX (Arab City) who has 2 wins from 3 matches. tyronec (Arab City) has made a good start in Division B with wins in his last 2 matches to lead kraff (Indo-Parthian) by 4 points. In Division C "whirlwind joggy" (Byzantine) has completed his schedule already with 6 wins from 9 matches and has set a reasonable target of 23 points for everyone else to chase. Morat (Ostrogoth) has started very well in pursuit with 3 straight wins. A fairly even start in Division D where 3 players - Barrold713 (Bosporan), Captainwaltersavage (Palmyran) and Conteshard (Roman) have all started with 2 wins each. TomoeGozen (Sassanid) has recovered from losing his first match to lead the table in Division E by 2 points ahead of Badger73 (Palmyran) who has started with a win and a draw. Division F has started in a hurry and it currently has 3 unbeaten players sharing the leader with 3 wins apiece - CyberHetman (Bosporan), gjhabcvhj (Roman) and Zawzgrzyt (Dacian). Sgt0gre (Palmyran) also has 3 wins but that is from 6 matches.

Weekly round-up
A fast and furious start to proceedings in a highly competitive Division A, where over a third of the matches have been completed already, has seen Geffalrus Byzantine) take an early lead with 4 wins from 5 starts. harveylh (Umayyad) and Nosy_Rat (Ghaznavid) have made unbeaten starts to sit in second and third place with Cunningcairn (Arab Conquest) and LuciusSulla (Viking) further back both with 2 wins from 3 starts. ericdoman1 (Polish) has recovered from a disastrous start to record wins in his last 2 matches. Very quiet in Division B with mr cholo (Dailami) sitting on top of the table after winning his opening match. joggy (Viking) is the early leader in Division C, but he already has 3 defeats in his 6 matches. Newcomer tyronec (Umayyad) has had a better start winning all 3 of his opening matches and kraff (Polish) has 2 wins from 3 starts. BishUK (Irish) and General Shapur (Anglo-Danish) have recorded the only wins so far in Division D. There has been an interesting start in Division E where MadMaxBot (Byzantine) and Morat (Georgian) lead the table with 2 wins apiece. Apart from the frantic goings-on in Division F, there has been a very slow start to proceedings in the Biblical section. Rob123 (Achaemenid) has 3 wins from 4 starts in Division C, while both carpenkm (Egyptian) and random 27 (Median) have started with 2 wins in Division D and SawyerK (Lydian) has done the same in Division E. In Division F Burgot (Hebrew) has made a blistering start with 6 wins and a draw yet he has not yet managed to shake off the pursuit of dim30 (Thracian) who has 4 wins from 5 starts. These two are yet to play each other and the results of these 2 battles will decide the outcome of the division.
