Locked in Top View ?

Playing a DL game I was looking at the map and moving the cursor (no moves) and the cursor locked. I was only able to clear it by Ctrl Alt Del and it came back to the Options screen. I clicked Accept and got back to the battle.
However the game is partially top view, see the screen shot. LHS is this game, RHS is another game. Also there was a 'top view' button lower RHS of screen which switched to totally top view.
I tried to clear it by reloading battle, reloading game and eventually reinstalling the game.

This particular MP battle still has the same 'partially top view' battle map, though the button has gone.
Other battles are normal.

That isn't top view, that is normal view with the camera pitch set very high.

You can either
a) Use SHIFT-up arrow and SHIFT-down arrow to alter the pitch.
b) Hold down the right mouse button, and use the mouse to alter the pitch.
