Re: The new tables and charts (especially for new players) . . .
OK, so for starters then, I will go on 90% zoom for the tables and 125% zoom for the charts. And I have added a border to both. Thanks.

Division D
Captainwaltersavage - Palmyran 258-273 AD with Arab 312 BC-299 AD allies (1600) defeats General Shapur - Byzantine 551-578 AD (1600) 58:33
A very entertaining battle. The Byzantines started behind and on a large broad hill with a few rough areas on it, and a large rough area further to their left. They brought lots and lots of lancers and plenty of comitatensis troops. I brought lots of cataphracts and plenty of archers on my left and a solid infantry section in the centre. The right faced off with mediums and skirmishers and we were off.
The Palmyrans rushed the hill to their right and I overextended trying to move onto the hill. Early losses had me on the back foot but still fighting. The left flank went much better for the Palmyrans and a combination of archer medium troops and cataphracts manged to bully their way up onto the hill. My legions held steady in the centre and then I manged to gradually roll up the Byzantine flank. Despite my complaints about the regular rallying of the Byzantine troops, my archers and cataphracts proved to be of equally stern stuff and the battle lasted longer as a result. The sheer number of cheap troops I could bring to bear eventually proved its value in the end game as did some brave camels holding off some veteran Byzantines and and some heavy horse archers on some difficult slopes. Those Byzantine lancer/bowman terrify me but cataphracts and medium archer units seem to be their match. I also avoided charging the comitatensis units with all their darts as much as possible (mainly by dying at their feet in the early game). Thanks to General Shapur for laughing at my weak humour and fighting hard till the end.

Cunningcairn - Arab Conquest 638-684 AD beat Triarii - Spanish 900-1049 AD with Andalusian 756-1049 AD allies (1600) 46-9
I should get no credit for this victory as Triarii's die for both combat and testing was up there with the worst I've ever seen. Luckily for me I was not the one throwing them. Hard luck mate you deserved far better.
