Detailed tooltips

Sometimes the pop up just doesn't appear in the right place.
In this case it is obscuring the combat losses.
It also is not large enough to show all the info, so have to scroll down to the bottom to see that my unit just got trashed.

Would it be possible to shift it to the side so that the combat on the map is always visible.
And expand the box so that all the data gets in, or if not I think it would be preferable to show from the bottom lines up rather than the top lines down. That way you would always get the most important information which is at the bottom of the box and would only need to scroll up if necessary to see the top information in the box.

I am away from access to the codebase at present, but as far as I can recall the combat report popups are not (currently) tied in any way to the location of the combat, but appear in the position you last dragged them to.

I can look into the feasibility of some sort of intelligent positioning.

The engine automatically handles the positioning of tooltips, but these popups are not tooltips.

As to the scrolling, I think some people might be equally annoyed by them scrolling to the bottom when they appear. If you only want to look at the end result, perhaps you could switch to simple reports? If you sometimes need to look at the detailed information, you can also find it in the combat log.

I didn't realise you could drag them during replays, that actually more or less handles it for me.

You cannot switch from Detailed to Simple or vice versa during a replay, but you should be able to drag them. The drag area is at the top of the popup.

Yes I tried it during my last move and it works fine.
Intelligent placement by the system would be the icing on the cake.
