Tweak the Banners

Firstly, the game looks great. An upgrade on FoG 2. The banners are really nice and another improvement for sure. However, in certain battles like the Normans v English it is very hard to work out at first glance who is who. Maybe one of these banners could be a darker red or something?

I also note on a poor Steam review someone complained about the Baltic campaign and both sides having "vanilla banners and brown uniforms". I haven't played this campaign but maybe a similar issue.

I am enjoying the game a lot but just wanted to mention this!

In Settings there is an option to choose between Historical or Distinct banners.

If people are having a hard time distinguishing the banners they should select the Distinct option. Then, in battles between armies with similar coloured banners the AI side will be given a different "rebel" flag.

Yes it does. In MP, player 2 gets the rebel banners. You can also switch between Historical and Distinct banners using the H hotkey.

I think it is an option and a workaround rather than a final solution (in my opinion). I would love to see a few banners altered in upcoming patches if it can be done while keeping in with historical precedent!

The rebel banners don't look so great but fulfil a purpose!
