Outdated reward?

Hi,

i finally manage to finish Prokhorovka scenario (GC 1943) and next mission is Dnepropetrovsk. After so many struggle i get as special reward captured - T34/41 ( r ). Since start 1943 i dont use this outdated tanks and even Russian use more often T-34/43. I can imagine better reward at this stage of campaign. Moreover, if we take into account that similar rewards for captivity were given by the game as early as 1941. I think that at this stage of the war (08/1943), the Germans would find it very difficult to add him to their armament.

Totally agree, better sell this and the next similar ones for prestige, now you can have Tigers, Panthers etc no need to use any kind of T34

Well, it is what it is. IMO, there's three things you can do with this unit. The first is to deploy it as a "speed bump" in a future scenario. In other words, you put it out at the front of your line. Being a weaker unit, will will absorb a few attacks during the first turn or two before succumbing to a quick death. By doing this, you prevent other units from having to absorb the same attacks, preserving them and hopefully buying yourself a little time.

The second thing you could do is to upgrade it to a newer unit. Given that you probably got the reward towards the end of the scenario, you may have actually collected a few kills with it during the last "mop up" turns of the scenario. The downside is that even with the best of luck, the unit will still be very green.

The third thing to do, and probably the most popular, would be to just sell it for extra prestige in between scenarios.

Imho selling is the only option i can find for this outdated tank. Thats pitty bcz its a reward...

It's free prestige, that's how I look at many of these rewards...
