Grand Campaign 1939 Full Version 1.3 - Custom Campaign (updated)

Hello guys, we have finished the full version of the Grand Campaign 1939.

This Campaign features the Commendation Points system, with this you can buy nice rewards just as in the AO series.

The Campaign is a recreation of the Original Panzer Corps DLC 1939, with some changes in the missions and the units in the maps. But also you will face a nemesis, the tank Commander Edmund Orlik, and if you don't kill him he will return to hunt you on later scenarios. Because of issues with the editor after importing PzC 1 scenarios, the maps are rotated 90 degrees. when this is fixed i will update the campaign so it will look like the original.

First you will fight all through Poland leading your panzers in a race towards the capital Warsaw.



Then you will be in charge of Operation Weserubung fighting across Norway to protect the precious ore imports from Sweeden.


The Campaign features the following scenarios:



At the end of the campaign your core forces will be saved for the start of the upcoming 1940 DLC recreation, stay tuned for the updates and for the upcoming release of 1940 Grand Campaign.

Thank you for catching this. One that is the wrong script for this purchase and have corrected the file and should now work. Just substitute it for the LUA file in Danzig Corridor. A corrected version of the campaign will be updated soon as I think there is a later scenario that will be wrong also. On the other hand I would not use commendation points on this unless you are using denied artillery trait.

Yes indeed we're working on a campaign of our own covering all the war too, but that will come later, right now we are working on 1940 dlc, may i ask if there's any plan to support the scenarios of pzc 1? because right now after you import the scenarios from pzc1 they are rotated 90 degrees to the right.

Did you reload a save game from the Poznan scenario. You have to go back there first. I opened a saved game from my Poznan scenario and was able to purchase the twenty 155 mm Polish Artillery on the opening of the Danzig scenario. Again you should only make this purchase if you are using the denied artillery trait, you should not waste your commendation points here when you can buy similar German 155 mm Artillery.

Did you reload a save game from the Poznan scenario. You have to go back there first. I opened a saved game from my Poznan scenario and was able to purchase the twenty 155 mm Polish Artillery on the opening of the Danzig scenario. Again you should only make this purchase if you are using the denied artillery trait, you should not waste your commendation points here when you can buy similar German 155 mm Artillery.

I reload the autosave last turn Poznan scenario. I do not use the denied artillery trait.
If these commendation points should only be used if you have the denied artillery trait, it should be specified otherwise it is waste.

So, after playing though this on easy to try it out, here are my some issues I noticed:

1. Putting this Campaign in my Campaigns folder makes all other Campaigns (Both official ones+Big Red One from Steam) disappear from the Campaign selection screen.
2. Did you mean for the Scharnhorst stand in for Schleswig-Holstein to become a Core Unit and follow the Player throughout the Campaign? Twas an amusing addition at Narvik, but kinda pointless otherwise.
3. Your Campaign Tree states that there is a Hidden Cache in the Lodz Scenario. However, despite capturing every flag I never actually found a Cache.
4. The second, third, and fourth waves (I didn't notice any the first wave, but I might have just missed it or something) of enemy reinforcements at Piatek caused an error message to appear along the top, something about failing to make a purchase it looked like. A batch of reinforcements did spawn each time, so it still seems to be working for the most part. 1st Wave came from the center spawn, 2nd and 3rd Waves came from the north, and 4th came from the southeast. A similar error message popped up for both waves at Wysogrod as well.
5. In the southeast corner of Wyszogord, there is a Polish flag on a village next to an airfield that the border cuts in two, making it inaccessible.
6. There was a Cavalry Unit near the south edge of Kampinos Forest that started with only 1 Strength. Also, the Kampinos Forest Cache message claims you found Polish artillery, when it actually gives Hotchkiss tanks.
7. The Commendation Event at Modlin didn't appear for me. I had completed every Bonus Objective and purchased every Commendation Reward up to this point. Not sure if error in the Event, miscount in Commendations I earned, or something else.
8. Much like at Lodz, captured every flag on the map in Spoils of War but no Hidden Cache was ever found.
9. The Airfield Bonus Objective in one of the Norway Scenarios didn't fire upon completion. Instead, a red error message appeared near the top of the screen briefly.

Other, more positive thoughts:
1. I like how you simply took out the Minor vs Major Victory Scenario results and just made them linear. More Scenarios means more fun, exp, captures, and more.
2. I also really enjoyed Scenarios like Piatuk where you made use of things like AI Allies and the AO Czechoslovakia's style of Bonus Objective (Where you get the Commendations at the start, and lose them if you fail the Objective). Good job making use of new systems to add some new twists on this old Campaign.
3. Related to above, the Polish Hero units are a nice touch. My only real complaint is that since the Nemesis's first appearance is on a mission where a Bonus Objective is to kill all Polish tanks forced me to kill him then instead of allowing him to return throughout the Campaign and see how he evolves (although a destroyed version of him appeared in a few Scenarios like Piatek). But I can always look into that another time.
4. Commendation and Cache Rewards: There were a few mediocre rewards like the 155mm Artillery, but considering it's Poland there isn't exactly much to offer, and the other awards tended to make up for the worse ones.

Overall, a very well done import of the 1st part of the classic PC1 Grand Campaign. Definitely some kinks to work out, and that just needs time and reporting.

1- there's something wrong in what you did, since i didn't get any problems, can you tell me the exact path where you puted the campaign?.
2- no that's wasn't want i meant, i will check it out and fix it since there's no scenarios with naval warfare in the GC dlc's.
3- yes apparently the eqp capture doesn't work for some reason, we couldn't make it work to the date, when we can fix it we will upload the file.
4- yes that error shows, but it seems to not interfere with the spawn waves, i don't know actually what is happening, so i can't fix it right now. I will do research and see what is going on to fix that.
5- thanks i will remove the flag.

1. Path is Documents/My Games/Panzer Corps 2/Campaigns. I did also download the Danzig Corridor LUA patch. and placed it in the Danzig Corridor file. I also just deleted and redownloaded the whole mod before trying to take a screenshot of the bugged menu and it works fine now so...yay?
2. Probably just need to set it to spawn as Auxiliary instead of Core, but I wouldn't know how to do that myself.
3. & 8. The Kampinos Forest Cache worked, so maybe compare the scripting for errors?
6. Huh, weird. But if that's the case then that's fine.
7. Ah, I assumed it would be like in Axis Operations where as long as you complete every Bonus Objective you would have more than enough Commendations for every Reward. That's fair though (The 155mm Artillery would definitely be an easy skip in this case Wonder if that would be enough though...).
9. I'm going to go back a few save files and try to retrigger the error message and get a screenshot of it since I already have the campaign pulled back up.
Got it, here:

Pops up the moment I take the 2nd airfield, regardless of the order. Hope that helps in some way.

As for the Nemesis, maybe instead of the Objective being kill every tank, set it to an amount of tank kills slightly under the total tanks on the map, like 5 or 6?
