Report from Dang just arrived at the Sultan's Field HQ, St Gotthard.
Well Done Bey Dang !!! 3rd Turban despatched, you may wear it where it fits best.........
Now back to these Imperialists......

Thanks to Allah and my incredible steadfastness in faith.... and your support dear Sultan,
once again the weapons of the faithful have PREVAILED!
We have reaped a great victory!

Outnumbered at least 3 to 1 (well, at least it felt like that) we tried to double envelope the enemy while holding a central wood.
Our right flank envelopment got smashed by him moving up his mixed foot reserves so I could not get around , but gave the enemy some losses. Our centre got a thrashing but gave the enemy some losses. Our left flank took almost no losses, smashed through the outnumbered enemy horse and took his centre in the flank, which gave us VICTORY!

Our noble VENETIAN Opponents litter the battlefield in their thousands whereas we have lost close to no troops thanks to our genius leader, Til the man Al Walk-Bey! (Governor of Al Nelson, sunny, etc etc).

Erm, well, only half the proper Turks lost, as the Janissary technically are all slaves, right? We lost all of them, 2 fragmented in the woods and behind Horse.....

In the end, we won 60 % to 57 %, sheer luck, one of my horse smashed in pursuit into the flank of one of his mixed spear and broke them, whereas other of my troops hung on Fragmented....
The big decider was in the end that his mixed foot could NOT attack my mounted in the flank so my mounted on my right wing where slowly dying, whereas my disrupted horse of my left could very well fall on the flank of his mixed foot.

I did not play very well and luck was decidedly not with me, but at least the general plan (double envelopment) kinda worked
But it could as well have ended the other way around ..... but this we shall not tell anybody but you, Dear Sultan!

I learned a big lesson. My medium foot (azab, Janissary) are somewhat protected in the Forest, BUT they are also somewhat disordered. I found, that 6 Venetian enemy light foot in the open outshot 7 of my medium foot plus 2 supporting artillery ... must have been some bad luck involved, but still, do not try a shooting match with Janissary against these superb Venetian light foot (500 strong, swordsmen....).

T. Bey, yours faithfully, how about a 3rd turban, no idea where to wear it, but I could maybe stuff it in my mouth, write less and play better?
