Buying Dlc`s on Slitherine`s Holiday sale

Post by Elnotass »

Hi
I had bought Order of battle on GOG.com store. Now if i buy a Dlc on Slitherine Store, it will add to the base game automatically? Or i must manually install it?
Thanks

Usually when you at Slitherine you get a free Steam code as well.
I find it handy to be able to open two instances of OOB sometimes.

Especially when there is a beta on steam.

Erik,

I use Steam as well. Could you briefly describe how to open 2 instances of OoB? I'm not having any luck...

thanks, mr busy man!

I don't think that the individual selling platforms (Steam, GOG, Slitherine) are interchangeable.
Neither in buying/installing DLCs nor can you open instances of the same vendor twice.
E.g.:
- you can't buy a GOG DLC and activate it inside Steam
- you can't open a Steam game twice, but you can if you own both a Steam and Slitherine version...

I think that answers both questions.

Just install the two versions steam and slitherine and rename shortcuts to not mix the brushes (installations are not in the same location by default):

For me, there are two interests. The first and most important interest is in case of beta to have the beta version and the official version to continue playing the official campaigns or user-made scenarios with the Editor. The second is that I have several computers that are sometimes connected to steam at the same time and steam doesn’t like it too much.

I use a short-cut for 'regular' OOB and simply start the other instance from the Steam page (library).
Slitherine usually runs the betas from Steam as well in case you would like to join sometime.

You’re right, it’s better to start the steam games from the steam page.

Just install the two versions steam and slitherine
thanks, I'll give it a shot. the only one I have going now is Steam. It would make it easier to fix scenarios by doing the fixes as they come up, rather than using notes.

Hello ladies and gents,

I have bought a day ago two new DLC's (Order of Battle: Red Steel and Red Storm) from the Slitherine site and after I've downloaded them, I realized that I can't find a way to install them since the original game and all other DLCs I have for it have been purchased via the Steam platform.

Please some help so I can get my two new DLC installed and game ready?

Thanks in advance!

Go to My Page, search for the game/DLCs and get your Steam keys.
