On this image, the orientation of the counters does not seem to rest of problems :

This mod has renewed my interest in the game, as I was uncomfortable with the 3D graphics plus I love the board games. How am I supposed to launch it? After installing the mod, my splash screen looks like on the screenshot below, but when I click on it, I'm redirected to the original game.

This image (click to expand it) shows the procedure; from the downloaded zip file, to the file opened in your zip program, to where the mod folder gets extracted in your Documents/Games/OOB/mods folder:

I like this and I see myself using it selectively for specific player made scenarios. The official ones being designed for the models. For example, if Erik were to complete a single player Market Garden, an absolute historical classic campaign, I've a feeling I may go for the NATO counters just to go all-in on the historical immersion. Nice work.

As a former Avalon Hill player I'm looking forward to trying this mod. Assuming it still works for the current version

Will it pick up my saved games data that I am currently playing or do I need to move/copy files around?

Last year I tried asking the creator for permission for using his 3d models for counters, but he never replied. I'm making a mod that uses counters of all kinds, but it's a total conversion. It wouldn't be too hard to make a working Counter mod for the vanilla game, as long as the player is ok with generic counters and not "personalized" ones (ie not a counter for every single unit, but rather have the classic infantry/marines/para/tank/AA/arty/etc counters).

For me, the principle of modding is that it's free access.

Instead of taking profile images especially for the boats, perhaps it would have been better to take a high view for the units ?

This mod works great, though the facings are as though you were playing an old boardgame versus a tabletop opponent. Takes me back a few years...
