1. Kerait (Spartan) defeats Rob123 (Sarmatian) 55-28
Spartan thureoporoi met Samartian lancers on a broad battlefield. GG!
2. Kerait (Carthaginian) beats Mr Cholo (Nabataean) 52-29
Mr Cholo pointed out that in the open terrain, the Nabataean army of massed archers and irregular foot stood no chance against the Carthaginians, and he turned out to be right. The Nabataean irregular foot melted, leaving the archers exposed to be cut down. However, given the cards he was played, Mr Cholo did a lot of damage before it ended.

Remember, you can take one reroll if you're unhappy with the battlefield.

Stew101 (Ostrogoths) beat General Kostos (Apulians). Score 40 - 7%.
Re: Chaos Tourney V
The terrains was great. An openfield with a deep stream in one side. Not the best to face a battle with Nabateans but totally playable. Kerait did everytinhg great and I had no chance. Thanks!

Division 1 mirror match
Captain Savage (Latin) defeats Random27 (Anglosaxon) 62:53
Captain Savage (Anglosaxon) defeats Random27 (Latin) 61:38
Both armies were surprisingly well matched and on a pretty narrow battlefield. Steep difficult hills on the right of the Anglosaxons and a deep river on the left.
Both battles followed a similar pattern. The Hirdsmen had the edge in the main battle line and in both battles the Anglosaxons smashed through on their left flank and struggled on their right. I think I got slightly better use out of my skirmishers as the Latins and stayed away from the rough ground as the Anglosaxons. Other than that it was a very equal game.

Re: Chaos Tourney V
Regular Division 1
Karvon Pyrrhic 280-275 BC defeated TomoeGozen Thracian (Getae) 680-330 BC 47-18 for a 4-0 win.
Large forests masked both flanks of the Pyrric position with a marsh on the left further narrowing the gap between the trees. A large gentle hill lay in this gap. A series of steep hills rose beyond the trees on our left further constricting movement in that direction. Given the greater number of medium and light foot the Thracians could field, I wanted to avoid fighting in either of these sectors as much as possible and draw the fight to the open areas beyond the woods.
I took all the light and medium foot I could gather for screening and some flank coverage. I brought a contingent of cavalry to act as a mobile reserve. I maxed out my cheap heavy foot and then put the rest in to my pikes.
I deployed my heavy infantry in three ranks on the central hill with pikes forming the perimeter and spears filling in the back ranks. I had a few light foot deployed hidden in the marsh on the left to delay and absorb the expected flood of Thracian skirmisher through the woods and hills on the left. The rest of my light foot I deployed on the fringe of the forest on my right supported by my medium foot. My light horse and cavalry were hidden behind the woods on my right with the intention of making a wide flanking move through the woods.
The Thracians deployed a large screen of lights opposite the hills and forests on my left. Behind the screen were a handful of medium foot supported by a couple of heavy spear. On his left, he deployed a mixed force of cavalry and light horse, mostly with bow.
I decided for an aggressive push with my heavy foot through the center while my lights delayed his flood on my left. My infantry in the woods on my right initial would move up hidden short of the edge, ready to move out in support of the heavy foot as they progressed. My mounted flankers I would advance wide behind the woods and spring them out when it would best support of the neighboring troops in the woods.
The Thracian horse on their left moved up and began skirmishing with the lights they discovered in the woods on my right and my advancing pikes. Their lights began working their way through the hills and woods on my left in an attempt to flank me. My lights on my left fought a delaying action, slowly giving ground to minimize losses from opposing skirmishers. My heavy infantry rumbled forward in the center sending opposing lights and cavalry scattering before them. My medium foot emerged from the woods and helped chase off the cavalry horse archers and light horse skirmishing with my lights in the woods. My cavalry and light horse swept out of the woods and drove these even further away, destroying a few in the process. My front pike line rather quickly broke up due to chasing horse and other lights and the Thracians moved up their foot in an attempt to take advantage of this. My second and third lines, however followed up and managed to fill in most holes, but a series of fights developed between my heavy foot and his mix of medium and heavy, which due to my numbers, was mostly to my advantage.
His skirmisher flood on my left finally wiped out my opposing lights and then began to harry my advancing heavy infantry. However, most of his units were low on ammo but that point, so the damage was rather minimal. My horse continued to slowly drive his surviving cavalry further back on my left and some swung around to the center to support the ongoing battles between my heavies and his medium and heavy infantry. A couple of my raw pikes fragmented and one finally broke, but my reserves plugged in the holes and his own were being ground down and finally, between those losses and the arrival of my flanking cavalry, his center gave way and the game was over.

I think there are results missing for my matches against bomber23 and Rob123. Both of these matches were losses for me - but I don't have the scores handy at the moment. I can go dig them up, more than likely, or perhaps those two might show up with the final results.

Deeter (Syracuse) defeated GeneralSharpur (Byzantine) 43-3. His all lancer/bow army couldn't do much against lots of spears, hence the points disparity.
