Playing through the US Naval Campaign, just thought I'd say that Rainbow-5 could use some more turns. Takes about the entire scenario to cross the map. Will let you know if I encounter anything else of note.
Edit: Midway is also an insta-win for some reason. I know the US Naval campaign is a WIP but since you mentioned uploading the new version, thought I'd give it a play.

You are obviously playing an old version. Rainbow-5 has been removed from the new version, available in the first post.

Bairoko

Insufficient RP to deply enough Raiders. A couple more turns also would help.

Munda Point

Objective arrows missing.

John Tiller's 'The Proud & The Few'. Used for both Semper Fi campaigns and also a few scenarios in the Banzai series.
In addition I used scenarios from JT's Pacific War in Banzai and maybe Semper Fi as well.
These are well-reasearched games although I have not actually played any of them...

Korea

Post by Erik2 »

GabeKnight

I've moved the Korea link over there too keep my stuff tidy.

Been experimenting with your High Grass mod in combination with Terminator's grass offering (thank you).
Changed hue, stauration and whatnot to make it blend better into the rest of OOB terrain.
I've also added mud and winter versions. I'm quite happy with my first graphic design  although it can surely be improved upon.

Now, after Defiant is published, will you have some time to tidy up the Korean mod? There are some confusing (for me...) bits in there related to the High Grass.

Btw, I've started work on a 'proper' long Korea Campaign.

Tiller has separate Japan '45 and Japan '46 games with huge master maps.
I have amalgated 3-4 of the '45 scenarios with a an overall TOAW Olympic scenario into a OOB 2v2 Olympic currently undergoing multiplayer testing.
Quite intensive battles.

Of course I plan a few US/USMC Japan campaigns, but these are way off into the distant future.

Now, if you'd like to whip up a scenario or two you can't really go wrong with using teh Tiller games as templates.
I've got a system in place where it is quite easy to take screenshots of the Tiller maps and combine them (using MS Image Construction Editor) into one OOB template.jpg and match with the original hex for hex.

ICE is available for 64-bit. It is a really nifty application. Simple to use, but flexible. I would not be able to create large map templates without it.
Here's a file link from my dropbox.

Hi,
I'm a long time fan of this game and want to try to lift it to another level.
I want to create new units from other era's (like ancient romans for example). Now I know how to make them since I'm a graphic designer, but I can't find an easy explanation on how to implement new units to the game.
I'm sure there is somewhere a guide on how to do this, but I can't find it.

Well, I'm not the right person to ask as I am not very knowledgable about modding.
Ask in the Scenario Design forum, there are several modders around that have created new units.

Admiral Horthy's thread is maybe the best place to ask. viewtopic.php?f=374&t=85899

Personally, I think the current OOB could maybe be stretched to cover conflicts from the American Civil War to the Viet Nam war.

Erik, I heard you, but it (still) has to wait or you do it yourself or somebody else do it.

I'll come back to you once I'm in the mood for this kind of work. Just not now. I hope I'll be back on track soon. :)
Sorry about that, my friend.
