Remember a good while back where someone here linked the commander mugshots with real soldiers?
The example below may be covered already, but I just came across these two gents while looking for pics for a scenario.
Both guys serving at Peleliu in 1944 are part of our Marine commanders, 'Pete Simpson' on the left and 'Jimmy Chapman' on the left.
Real names? Gerald P.Thursby and Douglas D.Lightheart. Maybe the devs should rename these guys.
Edit: It seems that several of the US commander pics are from a book on Peleliu, I found at least 3-4 more and my two originals are on the cover of the book.

Yes. It was me who started this thread.
There were mostly Japanese and US commanders
But those two soldiers weren't discovered by me, thanks Erik

Re: Commander pics again
SO good that this topic came.I want to make some generic semi-noname commanders for some minor nations.... so it is just this easy to have some unnamed soldiers from photos and put them under some fictious name and ready? What skills they should have as lesser heros?
Are these early Pacific OOB commanders are fictious? I wonder if I missed a similar topic before.

Re: Commander pics again
In the Pacific campaigns it seems these soldiers were just that, not commanders.
It was only later with the German campaigns and further that the devs added historically known commanders.
