Well the last titanic battle of round 1 is over, with the another Macedonian Despot biting the dust.

Stew 101 (Greeks) beat Snooky51 (Macedonians). Score 64 - 53%.

A really great game Snooky, thanks very much.

I really like this format of partnering with another player as a team.
I'll be interested in the next one for sure.
It's taken me back many years to when I used to play in doubles miniature figure competitions.

My thanks to the Aetius-meister for putting on this novel tourney. Top job, well done.

I hope we get to resurrect the 'English 1st team' again sometime mate.

Myself and carpenkm have now brought our bloodbath of a battle to a conclusion.
The gods smiled upon the freedom fighters of Greece , granting me a 65 - 46 win over the Macedonians. Pike blocks failing cohesion tests and Hoplites making cohesion tests at the very end made the difference.
Thanks to carpenkm for a great game.

Just like to thank Aetius for organising this and including me. As a relatively new player to FOG2 this format is great. Good fun and It's given me the chance to discuss tactics with my more experienced partner. Stew also kindly played a couple of practice matches and gave me some really useful pointers (which took the form of routing me off the map in both matches!).

That's fantastic! I'm happy that the partners in teams play/work together; it was part of the ideal of this tourney. It's also ok if that's not too much true, but I think it's more interesting plotting/planning and just talking to each other. Makes the last battle by the former comrades/now enemies vying for the crown all the more dramatic!^^

Hi guys,

Just want to let you know the deadline for finishing round 2 has been extended as the game I'm in will definitely not be finished by then as I was traveling for 5 days and couldn't do anything. Sorry for that, but any other game going on has the same extension. I'll try to get turns in quickly, but like most people I play against, it's probably opposite time schedule. Anyway I won't give a date but hopefully it will just be a few days past the original one.^^
