- Give it time; it may recover on its own. Say 10-15 minutes.
- If not, CTRL+ALT+DEL to bring up the Task Manager and end the game.
- Restart the game and the campaign/scenario from your last manual or auto-save.
- If the problem recurs, it could be the campaign/scenario. Is it a custom job or DLC?

Hi, would you be able to provide a savegame of this? This would be very helpful. It may be required to zip it to get it accepted.

Panzer Krieg DLC. Kursk South. Turn 26/32.
Waited 45 mins+. The progress bar was 100%, but stilll "Thinking..." .
Restarting game didin't help. Tried several times.

But restarting computer might have, worked fine next day...
Go figure...

Case solved, I think...
Thanks for the help.

The game probably crashed at that point freezing the screen. I will not say that often happens these days, but it does happen. Nothing to worry about if it does not recur (or it doesn't recur for quite a while). If it continues to happen, however, then you may want to look to your computer as to sufficient hard drive space and recently defragmented disk. Try excluding the game files from your anti-virus monitoring (but don't turn off the anti-virus altogether because that is not safe). If all else fails, completely uninstall and reinstall the game, assuming that you have your product keys. Glad you are okay so far; good luck.

I have the same problem.

It is the Rzhev scenario in the Red Steel DLC.

The AI plays out out the AI-controlled Soviet forces section but then gets stuck on "Thinking" before the Axis forces do their thing.

I have tried verifying the integrity of the cache and have also uninstalled and reinstalled the whole game, but the problem still happens.

what can I do, please?

Happens sometimes. No need to reinstall the game.

Restarting the game and/or reloading the most recent savegame usually solves this issue. If not, try loading a savegame from some previous turns - and as last step try restarting the scen itself.

Thanks, GabeKnight, that worked, although I lost some progress. Must have been a corrupt savegame file.

There is another odd thing happening: when I click on a saved game in the Save/Load screen it starts scrolling up or down the list, and I can only stop it by right clicking.

So, to load a specific saved game, I have to left click on it and then immediately right click to stop the scrolling.

Bizarrre,

Anyone got any idea why this is happening?

There were instances where this was happening when there was some joystick, controller, pedals,.... (or their software) plugged into your PC.

Good call, GabeKnight, and thanks.

That would make sense, since the X52 Pro I have plugged in has a mouse function too including scroll wheel, so this may be causing input issues.

I'll disconnect it and see if the problem recurs.

Hhhmmm...didn't work, even with joystick disconnected.

Any other ideas?

It happens as soon as I click on a savegame file in the 'Save and Load' section of the menu.

The selection highlight just automatically scrolls upwards and only stops when right-clicking.

This is with joystick unplugged...unless it's the rudder pedals causing some input confusion, but they are more fiddly to unplug and plug in all the time...

I recall some guy having the same problem with his flight sim setup.

Try disconnecting them (all peripherals) AND the controller's software at least once to see if it's really the source of your problems.
