Hide Border Frame

Hello Everyone...

I've been in the trenches studying this little gem, for almost a year now, and I'm not going
anywhere soon. Is there any way to hide the decorative border/frame, as seen in the picture..?

The mosaic waves you mean? That's a texture, you can replace it with a plain brownish one if you like.

Can they be "altered," without hurting game play..?

Textures are just graphic files, if you keep the same size (and even that is flexible!) and save in the right format, then you are good to go :D
