As title states, never was a good player but figured with quarantine and all.
It looks like I downloaded the FOG (U) version if that makes a difference. Tried clicking on the multiplayer button but nothing came up.

Back to the game after a long time away. Does anyone still play this?

Hi, yes there are still a fair number of people playing FOG1. The issue you are finding is that FOG Unity was a project version that never went ahead. I suggest you contact the tech support people and ask if they can convert you to FOG1 instead. Alternatively, there is a FOG2 but it is a different sort of game.

You'll want to play the version before (U) "Unity" which is v1.8.1. As the post above states Unity is not a finished product and doesn't perform nearly as great
hope this helps

So, if I understood correctly, if I revert to a version before v1.8.1 it would be much easier to find opponents and much more people are still playing it?

It's version 1.8.1. you need, just FOG not Unity. If you already have it, you probably don't need to do anything. I would say there are about 20 players who play it reasonably regularly and another dozen more, who play it on and off. I am playing FOG I and FOG II as well as running campaigns so I am up to my limit.
