Help with Patch Download please

I'm trying to download the patch for my Slitherine version of OoB, but not having any luck. The Steam version updates automatically, but that version is now taken over by the Beta test.

I get this far, a description of the patch, but no button for download.

can you assist please!

You need to right-click on the OOB in the list to the left and select Properties.
Then you select to opt out in the beta tab.
This will revert OOB to the standard version and update it.

Beta version = 8.6.6
Official version = 8.6.5

If you are in a Beta, the best thing is to stay there and devote as much time as possible. This will give you more experience and maybe give you ideas for your scenarios...

Except when you have played the whole new campaign twice there is not much new to report...
I changed my Steam OOB to beta and back a couple of times without problems.

For you it looks simple to change versions but I think that is not the case for everyone...

Looks at the number of people who can’t install the last PanzerCorps 2 DLC. I succeeded the first time just by following the instructions...

I was not able to change Steam versions on my first try
Steam can indeed be a bit confusing to maneouver around in.

I have not yet grasped all the subtleties of Steam and I think I still have a lot to learn but it will come little by little...

Sorry to bug but the intent of the post was obscured.

How do I update the Slitherine version of OoB?


I can see there is an update on steam, but there is no download button. Where do you download the Slitherine Update Patch from? Maybe there should be a stickie or something for first-timers like me.

ps, I know this isn't your problem, but I sure would appreciate a hint because nobody else answered (sensibly anyway). I'd like to find the quickest route back to the Alsatian forest!

The Steam OOB is automatically updated if neccessary when you start OOB from Steam.
So no need to download or install a patch. But you need to cop out of the current OOB beta first.

When updating the Slitherine version you need to download the patch first, you should find this in My Page under OOB WW2-files download.

Please see my original post -- does the My Page look like that? Or is it the wrong place to find the download?

If it's the right place, there's no download button that I can find.

I'm starting to feel defeated...

sorry to bug, but does the page look like my original post? There really needs to be a stickie for upgrading Slitherine versions!
