Thanks, Erik. I missed everybody, and the game. Three months is a long time when you are not having fun! (Actually, I was, but I have lately found myself thinking of OOB again.)

Meanwhile, I see there is something special cooking in the official beta forum right now . . .

Any warm feelings toward Bruce's return are now overshadowed by envy. There's obviously some hidden OoB sub-forum...and everybody else is invited...

The current beta has been going on a while. I think you need to wait for the next one. Sometimes they add more testers later in the beta.
Or the next campaign.
Or the next campaign.
Re: Free France Campaign
I am happy this project is not dead. Free France Campaign is one of those unique campaigns we don´t see very often in pc games. It could be a little bit didactic as well because personally I don´t know much about the history of Free France army.

Well, that is what I am trying to do. Tell the story, that is, of Free France up to the Liberation of Paris.

Re: Free France Campaign
You know, I opened up FF for the first time today in nearly three months (last save timestamped 09-09) and I look at the complexity of it. My gosh, what is going on here? What is this contraption?
Then I started methodically picking my way through it. "Oh yeah, that's why I did this . . . that module works with this objective . . . Campaign variables, what the heck? Um, yes, yes, that's what I had in mind . . . Colonel Bagnold? Who? Why is he important? Say, now I recall him . . . Why are Allied AND Italian units out on the Red Sea? Are they both supposed to be amphibiously landing at Massawa? (No, I had constructed the armies just prior to my hiatus and had left them there for subsequent placement on the map. On land.) . . . How do I take a screenshot in this game and how do I post it? Hoo boy, now I remember about this forum and adding images to one's posts."
And so it goes. It's like an engine that is well-maintained but hasn't been started in a quite some time: It takes a while to turn over but when it catches, it positively purrs.

Re: Free France Campaign
Welcome back Bru, looking forward to some more content! And, now, I am also in anticipation of the news coming out of the beta....
Re: Free France Campaign
I like the idea of collecting the order of battle on the map to be moved into position
