Missing infantry units from MINOR COUNTRIES

-France has no paratroopers, the French army should have a paratrooper unit.

-Hungary has no mountain infantry and should have one.

These units are basic and therefore it is not a question of someone being able to create them through the editor, they must come standard in the game and therefore should be included in patches or DLC.

if you're creating scenarios with them, the best work around is to spawn down the closest country that represents them (ie USA Paratroopers in place for French ones) and just switch their nation from USA to France, and vice versa for Hungarians

but that way it could display the units on the map, but they would never appear in the list of units that the French player can buy, right?

By editing the equipment list or the custom buying list you could probably do it, this is just guess work though

It can’t be done or at least I don’t know how to do that by adding units from another country to another’s shopping list. Anyway one thing is an emergency remedy and another is that the basic units of each country should be and if not, add with a patch or expansion as is done in other games .... ( if this remedy that I discuss works eventually we could have one country and its entire army from another and it would not have to have its own units ... an absurdity)

And editing some US to FR in the data, and you will have French Airborne units.
Or you can copy and paste French Inf and add Paratrooper to trait list.

Thanks for the reply, I am left wondering if the scenario created with these units requires the other player to have this expansion installed as well.
Other than that if you can really add units this way you could add any unit to any side ...

Yes in multiplayer it would require both players to have same 'mod'.

For mods to work well requires updates to the game.
Coming with AO40???

It PzC1 you could have the new equipment file included in your campaign data folder. Not yet with PzC2.

I don't know how it works with multiplayer in PzC1 or PzC2.

When I open the Units.csv with Excel, the columns are not displayed correctly, everything is a bit mixed up.
