Re: Ottoman team event - Round One, Mohacs
So we're choosing from the Extra Nations lists then, vanilla, or either?

Re: Ottoman team event - Round One, Mohacs
Also, is there any specific time frame set up for round two?
Re: Ottoman team event - Round One, Mohacs
Snuggles - yes either the standard P&S lists or the Extra Nations lists
Veles - I would like to start the next round on 1 December or soon after so we can finish by the New Year

Re: Ottoman team event - Round One, Mohacs
Cool, that's good to know but I actually was asking about the time frames (time period) for the Army lists. I assume we're still in the XVI century, right?
BTW, sorry for the confusion I should have worded it more clearly.

Re: Ottoman team event - Round One, Mohacs
Sorry, but can some one spell it out for a simple Balkan sheepherder which armies we can choose from please? Is there a list somewhere or is it simply any army that overlaps both geographically and temporally with the Ottomans?
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Ottoman team event - Round One, Mohacs
That's a good point - I assume we're choosing armies with the filter on, not just armies that overlap in time period with the 1560-1609 list?

Re: Ottoman team event - Round One, Mohacs
I made a list of potential historical enemies in the other thread. I suggest you use those. If you have knowledge of historical conflicts with armies that I don't mention then feel free to use them.SnuggleBunnies wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 3:15 pm That's a good point - I assume we're choosing armies with the filter on, not just armies that overlap in time period with the 1560-1609 list?
Hope this makes sense!

Re: Ottoman team event - Round One, Mohacs
From a posted article by László Bíró in the Kievan Komikal Kommentarii
This correspondent has received numerous reports that the Zaporozhian Sich who have been busy in Lesser Poland constructing Khortytsia Castle have downed tools and instead answered the call to stop the scourge that is the Ottoman.
Andrii Hordiyenko, Polishchuk, Palamarchuk, Balanchuk, Hryhorii Mochulyak, Tarnovskyy, Shukhevych, Mykhailo Andrushevych, Shushkevich, Pavlo Pavlychko, Stepan Boiko, three goats, two sheep and several chickens have turned up at the clifftops training centre for instruction in yelling loudly and rude hand gestures. While it's still unsure whether they will join the Polish host or form a Zaporozhian horde, Western Europe holds it's breath (probably from all the unwashed cossack serfs. ed)

Re: Ottoman team event - Round One, Mohacs
erm, apologies dear Sultan,
we have been invested in searching new gasfields in our waters (claimed by some minor free greeks in error) on our way back
(been sunny here, beach w Ava).
Than, that minor event there in the north close to that rotten place they call "Mohacs" with this -dammed be his name- magjar upstart steven and his bandids driven by a certain Pixel??
We have of course come up victorious, we recorded a minor 22 % losses (mostly useless Tartars as you will be pleased to hear) to the enemies 52 % before they started to run.
We have slaughtered them runners like sheep.
we also of course took all their little guns and lost none of ours.
It took us 8 rounds to do so, finished the 25th of NOv 2020 at their -dammed be his name- ridiculous Gregorian Calendar.
Long liveth the Sultan, Alachmalach!
Til main ben Dang,
Scribe of your faithfoul Governor of Al Nelson in the Sultans Province of The TOPS (no, not Topkapi, Top of the South... Island)

An enjoyable but tragic (if you're Hungarian) round one report from the "Last of the Mohacans" I imagine

Ottoman victories:
Veles
Veles
Gribol
Flynnn5555
ahuyton
Kiwiwarlord
Dang
Hungarian victories:
GentlemanRanker
Snugglebunnies
So Dang's win brings Round One to a close. The Ottomans are on the march and there is growing panic in Western Europe and the North as armies hastily mobilise to meet the threat.
Ottoman threat level then stands at 29, this gives a bonus of 200 points to the Enemies players and a free choice of army.
Despite the Polish controversy (my fault by the way), we will continue as planned.

Dear Sultan, see me overwhelmed with joy.

2 shiny turbans. I tried them on at once, it looks a bit odd and I guess it will make me a prime sniper target, but oh, well, all the nearer to the sweet Huri in Heaven, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Re: Ottoman team event - Round One, Mohacs
pfff, here in Nuewici Zealandue we are fighting the infidels on all fronts at once, having to command that expedition to Hungaria (who wants to live there anyway?) was just one of my uncountable victories in November.
My memory might be short, and my grasp of the campaign rather, err, limited, but for you its Dang-Bey from now on, ha!

Re: Ottoman team event - Round One, Mohacs
Congratulations dang: The Kievan Komikal Kommentarii has rushed you a wet weather clip-on-visor for your new shiny turban to keep you dry and make you stand out in a crowd (Seems the sultan is handing them out left, right and centre!)
P.S Sorry about the advertising. The printers mucked up. It was supposed to say; Get down with the Sultan

Re: Ottoman team event - Round One, Mohacs
That is quite a visor!
Dang did a good job with managing the Ottoman Cavalry in the Mohacs scenario despite my attempts to bloody his army.
