Chaos Tourney V

The current digital league season is entering the home stretch, so I'm starting to organize the next season of Chaos Tourney.

Here's an overview of how it'll be run.

1. Due to popular demand, I will be adding divisions based on mirrored matches. In such divisions you and your opponent will play using the same armies and map twice, once as each side. Divisions will be from 4-6 players for a total of 6-10 battles. You may reroll the map once if both players agree, but you will use the same map for both battles. You may sign up for a mirrored division, regular division or both.

2. In the regular divisions, then number of matches will be contingent on the number of people who sign up.

5-6 two matches vs each player - 8-10 altogether.
7-13 one match vs each player for 6-12
14-26 Divide into two divisions sorted by CT rankings one match each for 6-12
27-39 Divide into three divisions sorted by CT rankings one match each for 8-12.
40-52 Divide into four divisions sorted by CT rankings one match each for 9-12.

Rookie players will fill in divisions in the order they sign up.

3. All matches will be potluck for both armies and terrain with both date and geography filters turned off. these are medium-sized battles so 1200 points.

4. After a bit of research and experiment, I have made a spreadsheet which can randomIy generate 300 matches based on the current 285 lists. We will use a website randomizer to generate the distribution of the battles to the pairings.

5. Each player may request one reroll of battlefield. If both agree, an additional reroll can be done. A rerolled battle is to be set to the same armies as originally generated; only the field can be rerolled.

5. Tourney will run a minimum of 8 weeks with additional weeks added for battles over 8 to a maximum of 12.

6. In regards to other details, we will follow the rules and guidelines posted for Digital League play.

7. We can accept one player per season per division who doesn't own all the DLCs. All others must have all DLCs to join. Such a player will need to have his matches created by his opponents.

8. The default battle type is OPEN BATTLE. If both players MUTUALLY AGREE, any of the other battle types can be played instead.

9. I'll leave sign up open until Christmas, so you've got about a month to decide.

You can play in both divisions if you wish.

A few have signed up for either to serve as possible fill ins to balance divisions. I don't really need anyone else in that category as that should be more than enough to fill in spots in such a case.
