General Safety Tips for Hand and Power Tools

More than 400,000 emergency incidents relating to power and hand tools accidents are recorded every year. This is why such tools must not be misused and appropriately calibrated, and handled to avoid fatal accidents. It would be best to be guided by the correct Power Tool Reviews and Comparison so that you wouldn’t use the right power tools for the wrong job. Following safety information in a tool’s manual can also reduce or prevent accidents with power tools. The following tips and ideas can also help you reduce risks of accidents with the use of hand and power tools;

Basic Power and Hand Tools Safety Tips

Buy quality tools; for instance, steel power and hand tools must be heat-treated. You must inspect the tools regularly and ensure they are in good shape. Don’t try to manage a faulty or damaged device; the accidents from such tools can even be more fatal. Maintain the integrity of your tools by performing regular maintenance such as grinding, sharpening, and oiling- follow manufacturer instructions and guide on this.

Always be Prepared for the Use of the Tools

Dress for work by avoiding loose clothing and jewelry that can get caught in a tool’s moving parts. You must also wear the appropriate protective gear like gloves, goggles, and boots. It would be best if you used the right tools for suitable jobs. For instance, never use a wrench for a job you should use a hammer for; it can lead to an accident. The LaserLevelHub is specified with the type of tools you should use for different purposes; likewise, the manufacturers also specify the types of jobs for each device.

Setting Up Your Tools – Tips for General Safety

Make sure your feet are planted on a stable surface when using hand and power tools. Never leave a tool lying out in areas. They can pose a hazard to other people below, especially when working on heights. You must avoid carrying tools up and with your hand, and you should instead use a bag to hoist the tools to a worker up the ladder. If possible, secure your work or tools with a clamp or vise to prevent slipping. Avoid carrying pointed tools in your pocket; keep them inside a cart or toolbox instead.

Other Essential Safety Tools

When using electric power tools, make sure the work surface, like the floor, is dry to avoid slipping. Never carry a power tool by its cord, and keep your tools from creating a tripping hazard. Use power tools that are double-insulated or those that have a three-pronged cord that has been grounded. Never use electric hands and power tools in wet environments.

Use a GFCI or any other ground assured system of maintaining grounded components. Make sure all parts of a tool are fastened, and never point a compressed gun or tool at anyone, including yourself. Always use safety clips or retainers where necessary and always store a tool appropriately after use. Of course, It is Panzer Corps 1 - the best game I ever played. (And still playing)
Pike & Shot is also great.
I enjoyed playing the Decisive campaign series, especially the Barbarossa one.
Strategic command series is nice also.
Maybe something else, can't remember now.

Hmm number 1 spot is ASL (I liked SL most though). Followed by A3R. Then Steel Panthers specifically via Mega Campaigns. Big fan of Battle Academy and Strategic Command. I have high hopes for a game called Second Front (in development) that is almost an ASL clone on PC.

No huge favorites, though atm Shadow Empires is my top choice most of the time.
The FoG series, to include FoG Empires, Panzer Corps II, & Fantasy General are a close second...for now.

Same here.

And I don´t like Realtime Strategy games, therefore no Sudden Strike, or all the others.

I can squeeze out one so called favorite if i must, not new, and i have not played the games but more then just a little that this forum is about.
The Close Combat series from quite some time ago. The Atomic Games developers, not the Slitherine production now. But like many other games that series was flawed with one AI that was just too easy to beat and push back so it just had it´s values in the rest of the game. I say "values" instead since it´s not something i would touch with a ten foot pole again these days, i tried and got appalled at the old lousy graphics on TOP of it still of course being too easy.
Slitherine might fill a gap here in my game thirst?

My rants must stop! (comment shortened for best response).

Fantasy General i have to admit, or maybe Star General ;-) though my crush with shadow empire is quickly evolving into something more serious then i could ever hope for

Spend most of my mid twenties to roaring thirties clutched up in total war games, so there's that ofc..... if they'd ever manage to use the right set of tactical a.i. commands one of their games would probably also end high on my list ( warhammer II probably, they had this extensive a.i. testing of which some i despised and others i genuinely felt oke with, it does seem the've settled now for a mediocre choice but .. politics? or technical reasons? i'm not sure, it was pretty noticeable though how both 3k and Troy felt as drawbacks compared to warhammer )
