Can an impediment be removed by an upgraded building?

Can an impediment be removed by an upgraded building?

I have a region with the impediment Rumor of Cursed Place. This can only be removed by a Worship Place. I have carelessly upgraded the Worship Place in that region to a Sacred Estate. Will the Sacred Estate still have a chance to remove the impediment or do I have to disassemble it back to a Worship Place?
