Re: conboy's campaigns
Mascarenhas,
Did it show success on turn 7 and then switch later? Or did it just never show success on turn 7?
The trigger is set so that all 4 objectives have to be taken before Turn 7 (<Turn 7) - so during Turn 6 is the latest a Phase I objective can be taken to get credit. I checked it carefully just a moment ago - if the objectives aren't taken before Turn 7, there's no credit for them. All the objectives are checked properly by the trigger and are indicated properly by the Mission Objectives. I'll wait till I get feedback from other players before taking drastic measures. Maybe nuke your way through this one and keep playing for now?
Thanks for playing and reporting!

Re: conboy's campaigns
The US 3d Infantry Division in WWII Campaign was interesting especially because of its subject, follow the story of a division in the war.conboy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 14, 2020 2:38 am ColonelY,
It is improved in large part because of your interesting and fun historical and gameplay perspectives.
So thanks again hombre!
I am working on a mini campaign of the early part of Operation Avalanche but it doesn't break new ground, just building on lessons learned now.
Thank you for the optimistic compliment - I hope the 3d Div campaign satisfies the curious and entertains the aficionado.

After the 3rd US Infantry Division, why not tackle The FIRST, The Big Red One

Re: conboy's campaigns
Terminator,
There are a lot of interesting divisions that might be worth following! I was thinking maybe an armored division next. Maybe this one won't take 18 months! Now that I know much more about how to set up scenarios and campaigns... and maybe I won't pick one with a huge number of battles...
Why don't you do big red one and let me play it?! I've played your scenarios before -- they're good!

I achieved the first goals on time, albeit it didn't appear on the result table. And, when a reached the bridge, one turn before the time limit, the the failure appeared.

Re: conboy's campaigns
Thanks, Mascarenhas -- I'll keep looking. Dwightd and I had no problems with that scenario on the last playthrough and I can't see anything wrong with the trigger. Something funky is going on because your picture shows that the South Mara Bridge is intact - it should have blown up when your units got close. I fooled around with it and there's no way you can get close without it blowing up. I don't get it... Hopefully someone else will report it from different perspective and give me a hint.

Erik, watched the Liberator last night -- very cool! Thanks for the tip, bro. Really enjoyed it.

Conboy,
The bridge was rebuilt by one of the engineering btls, after the Italians blew it, so I could proceed to go for Phase 2 obj.

It's not a bug.
You just earned a scolding from General Patton.
We told you not to shoot the brits!

Re: conboy's campaigns
Mascarenhas, you pointed me to a flaw in the Phase II Objectives that pointed to a Phase I objective. I hope you continue playing the campaign. Meanwhile, I will send you an updated 2 Lica scenario.
Dwightd, Parallax, and I didn't snag up on it so I'll wait until I hear from some other folks before I distribute an updated campaign.
thanks again for your encouragement and critiques!

Link updated to reflect 2 Lica Phase I Objectives error that might prevent credit for objectives being achieved. Updated 2020 11 16 11:20 CST.

Playtesting this campaign was fun. Highly recommended!
Thanks, conboy!

Thanks, conboy!

Re: conboy's campaigns
Hi again! Don't remember scenario's name but i think you should recognize it. There is wrong main objective marker. There is also Latina town in this scenario marked as secondary obj., but it is counting as main objective in the main obj. list and as secondary in sec. obj. list. Majorano di Monti and Statigliano towns have no visual secondary obj. markers (silver flags)

Re: conboy's campaigns
Thank you, Parallax!
Please keep commenting. We didn't catch everything, only if there was a bad result or a foul-up somewhere. So please let me know if you spot any more errors and I'll fix.
Here is the link to the fixer-upper. I updated the whole campaign but this won't affect gameplay if players hold to the Phase I and Phase II schedules (unless you somehow do it avoiding the roads...) See original post for link to updated campaign.
Thank you all very much!
conboy
p.s., All players, this is not a beta, but I want to get it right. So far it plays fine, but I need to know where any undetected errors are. So if you find any errors, please let me know!
