gc41 minsk41 - no russian air force?

Hi,

Your first mission, before you even think about going after your marked objectives, is to disable the Red Air Force. At least a dozen airfields have been spotted in this region alone, and each of them is undoubtedly home to a squadron or more of enemy aircraft. While you will encounter absolutely no initial enemy aircraft, you can be assured that should these airfields remain in Soviet hands for too long, they will fill the skies with their aircraft! To that end, you should capture as many airfields as you can as quickly as you can. Any airfield that is captured before the Soviets go on alert will be one less airfield that can launch their fighters and bombers!

so I expected russian air force.

Now I am on turn 8. No single russian aircraft showed up.

steam v1.3, custom difficulty, max prestige ...

I checked minsk41 with editor ... I dont see how AI could get aircraft.

There is no russian aircraft unit at the beginning

there are only 3 scripts:

• allied units in zone 20 become attackers

• get rudel

• get karl geraet

so there is NO script for aircrafts to appear

allied starts with 200 prestige and gets 75 per turn.
But due to the core slot limit of 12 ... I think AI doesnt buy any aircraft.
I think AI can only buy new units if they have <=11 core units on the map

what can I do to have a russian airforce?

There is no Scripts but there are Triggers for each Soviet air force Units :

hint for others: by edit>unit shift-left click a unit the "unit params" open

so I am on turn 8, and the fun starts at turn 9 ... ok now I get it

can any verify me where maps folder is for the Steam version of the game?

... I think for the Steam version is: /SteamLibrary/SteamApps/common/Panzer Corps/data

and for the non Steam version in: Slitherine/Panzer Corps/Data
