So I downloaded a campaign and unzipped it and put it into the campaign folder and am playing it. Ok great, so is there a way to know which version number of the campaign I am currently playing. For example I downloaded a campaign version number 1.3 but then later on I noticed there is a 1.5 and even now a 1.7 of the same campaign I cannot remember which one I unzipped and played some scenarios of it - so is there a way to know which one - which version I am playing ..
I did figure out something though. For example I downloaded an updated version number campaign which is version 1.7 so then after unzipping it and putting it into the campaign folder it of course shows up with the picture when I click on Custom Content > Campaigns. so what I did was (since every custom campaign has a picture which is an "image.png" file) I edited the campaign picture this may be plagersism but at it enables me to remember months from now which version is which of any campaign I have unzipped. Specifically in small yellow print I added the number "1.7" to this image file and saved it so now when I go to play the campaign it shows the version number it is so again months from now I will know where I am at.

Re: Campaign Version Number Question
Personally I just keep the original ZIP file in the campaign folder. The filename includes the current version number.
Re: Campaign Version Number Question
I name the zips of my custom campaigns with the version number.
This means the zip will over-write any present versions.
But I see your point, maybe add the version number in the campaign name so you see it when selecting...

Re: Campaign Version Number Question
All sounds good thanks for the info yeah, forget the editing the picture file thing that I explained edit the campaign name for example open up the campaign folder that has been unzipped and placed into the Campaigns folder then find the file text_english.txt open with notepad whatever it shows at the top for example:
so under Name put in the version number here I put in the word test so now when the pic shows up under custom content > Campaigns it shows whatever you type in which can be the version number this is GREAT !!!!!
// NAME
name = US Corps 1943-44 test
// DESCRIPTION
description = The Anglo-American invasion of Sicily and mainland Italia
// CORE NAMES
core_US Forces = core_US Forces
// MAP NAMES
maptext_23 = Sicily
maptext_31 = Corsica
maptext_36 = Sardinia
maptext_40 = Italy
maptext_43 = Albania
maptext_46 = Greece
maptext_47 = Yugoslavia
maptext_48 = Vichy
maptext_50 = Tunisia

Re: Campaign Version Number Question
Yes, this is a good idea if I may say so
but I think it will be implemented only whenever I have other updates to a campaign...
