Hello,
I am playing the pacific scenario and am in the early stages of it. The B17 and F4F units have appeared in the game, but I cannot make them land on the airfields Kaneohe and Hickham respectively.
I put the mouse over the land button and a tool tip displays the message 'Land based aircraft must be placed adjacent to an airfield to be able to land', but the B17 unit is adjacent to it.
For the F4F unit it behaves the same, only the message is slightly different, it mentions carrier based planes.
Thanks,
Regards

Re: Cannot land air units
Have you already taken the two airports, i.e. are the flags of the Americans flying there or are the flags still white?

Re: Cannot land air units
Hello,
The airfields have a white flag on them. I never thought I had to 'take them', because the scenario is in US territory. How do I take them ?
Thanks,

Re: Cannot land air units
Daniel,
You have to move a ground unit over them.
The ground unit must be able to take territory and hold it or, in other words it must convert its Zone of Control into friendly territory -- recon jeeps and other recon vehicles cannot take territory, so they won't work.
So, you must move any ground unit except recon through the airfield to change the flag. Moving on to it will change the flag, but you can't use the airfield until the unit moves away.
enjoy!

Re: Cannot land air units
At the beginning you have a Jeep, with this and the other units you can still collect, you gradually take the points that have a white flag. Then you get not only airplanes but also anti-aircraft guns. Some of the units will be or are core units that you take with you.daniel.dlds wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 12:12 pm Hello,
