Changing Traits moving from SCW to 1939

Hi, long time lurker here

I has denied airforce and denied artillery in SCW. I understood I could change traits when starting 1939 using my save core. I chose different traits for 1939 but now cant upgrade artillery or aircraft. Only captured kit shows up to be upgraded to for airforce and artillery. Is this right?

Man, if so I'll have to go back and start SCW over again.

Seems to be a rare issue, and one that only affects the very first scenario.

Get through Czechoslovakia, and your campaign should be able to buy arty and aircraft if you didn't repick those denied traits.

Has anyone tried saving the game in deployment turn, and then reload saved game to see if this solves the problem.

I was not able to duplicate problem, so I can't test fix.

I got through Czechoslovakia and was then able to buy/upgrade Arty and Airforce. I'll a little bit behind on my upgrading as also using the trait that limits to 3 upgrades per scenario but OK. I really didn't want to have to do SCW again.

Well as a happy accident, Czechoslovakia does prohibit the use of your air force already, but glad to hear the issue didn't plague your entire campaign.

I have always played AO39 with denied artillery but never had an issue upgrading aircraft even though you can't deploy them.

I had this problem in my AO'39 game. My general traits were the same as they were during SCW. Saving and reloading did not fix it. It was only a problem for the first scenario, after which the traits I selected for AO'39 applied.
