Division E
Morat (Lombards) beat Blagrot (Arab City) 42-16
My opponent was hampered by the terrain: mountains leaving no room to manoeuvre. This meant I could pen in his numerous cavalry with my warbands and grind out the win. Not pretty, but effective.
Thanks to Blagrot for a game fought in an excellent spirit.

Re: Biblical section experiment - can you spare 10 minutes to help?
I've really enjoyed Biblical in the past but sadly wasn't quick enough out of the blocks to secure in a place in the revised format of paired matches this season. I can see it's a good way of mixing up some narrow choices. With the pesky hoplites out of the way my top five are:
1) Hebrew 681-586 BC
2) Assyrian 681-609 BC
3) Phoenician 681-539 BC
4) Egyptian 664-571
5) Arab 1000-313 BC
Thanks

snooky51 (Spartan 221-146 BC w/ Roman 280-220 BC allies) defeats GeneralShapur (Carthaginian [Hannibal in Africa] 202 BC) -- 60-44
Not a good matchup for the Carthaginians, too many medium infantry to grind against the heavy spartan list. Good generalship by GeneralShapur kept what looked like a rout early on close.
