Yes unwichtig, every time i go to end our turn it freezes and crashes. Same problem with onpps game.

@mrdozer: you said you were unable to play the standard game. I think I have found out why. Here's what you have to do to make the standard game working again:
Start Potzblitz and choose multiplayer.
When asked to choose the commander picture you must choose one of the 50 commanders that came with the standard game.
Do NOT choose one of the 75 additional commander pictures that came with Potzblitz.
So you must choose a commander picture between Joffre who is #1 and Von Fernburgg who is number #50
After having chosen a commander picture quit Potzblitz and start the standard game, it should work now.

@robotron: I have done my test turn with serbia. Everything okay? we could do a few additional test turns if you wish to do so. But it looks to me as if it is wokring.
If you are happy to start a new, real match "to end all wars", just start a game, the PW can be the same as is was for our testgame. I am happy to start.

but yes...your initial push into france was good. this often leads to a huge gap in belgium though...lets try again.

because said matches are hopelessly botched up by the recent update and even cannot be ended by choosing to surrender.

yes okay. and also add unwichtig versus Norbi...i had two matches but he never continued. i think he is not playing anymore.
But the 2 matches are still on the server.
I guess most of the potzblitz games on the server include me
basically, all games that include "Unwichtig" can be deleted. I need a full reset. thanks for that.

Here's my theory about what went wrong:
when the PBEM system was updated the server data got defaulted back to the vanilla (standard) game.
However our uploaded data also included all the new stuff from Potzblitz too, so the "pieces of the jigsaw" mismatched, creating a crash.
Apparently nobody of the staff took the option of players using mods into account.

I tried the German Event to "fortify the colonies", the event that is supposed to slowly reduce manpower of UK and adds a minor moral boost to germany.
"Seize initiative" it is called, i think.
I love the event, as its one of the few colonial events that players can decide to activate, but i observed twice now that the german morale boost is zero.
Maybe the UK manpower aspect works, i cant see that. But i never got any additional morale. Or is that morale added very slowly in future turns?

German morale will be raised each time the British are repulsed as reported by the corresponding events.
There is only limited space for the event descriptions in the choice panel so all details are difficult to put in there.
I'll earmark that for the manual update.
Heck, the forum is slow as @&%#$ and I still don't get email-notifications about when it's my turn to play.

I'm in contact with Slitherene support. They ask whether we'd rather want to have them try to fix those corrupted matches or have them deleted.
Personally, I don't think it's worth the hassle trying to fix the matches, it will most likely not be possible anyway.
So just to make sure nobody feels left out:
Are you guys okay with deletion of those matches that got corrupted during the recent PBEM system switch?

No problem for me. All MP games are pretty old now and i have not played any of them for 3 weeks.
I think it would be too much work for them to fix all of them. I dont even know if the other players would continue anyway.
The only games that must be kept on the server are our two epic matches.
By the way, today, for the very first time i had the event that solves the problems between austrian and german generals.
Initially my generals "did not like each other". Then a few turns later i could choose an event that OHL and AOK have arranged with each other and all problems were solved.
I choose this event as it was supposed to remove one collapse point. Unfortunately, zero collapse points were removed.
Do i get it right that...only the country that has fewer collapse points gets one point removed?
In which case Germany...but i had zero, so playing the event did not make sense right? Actually i wanted to remove an austrian collapse point with it.
(Like the event by the way, never seen before in 15 matches!)

So, yeah...you got it wrong.German and Austrian commanders will cease their animosities: no more risk of removal from play when too close to each other. The nation that suffered more collapse points, loses 1 collapse point and gains 15PP. No bonus if equal collapse points

I wanted to remove the austrian one and reading the text that should have worked "The nation that suffered MORE...". Thats why i tried it.
But none were removed because i did not have 2...okay i get it. However, I DID get 15 PP!!! Thats why i was confused.

I think the "Minimum 2 collapse points reqired" thing should be included in the text box. I would not have played the event just for 15PP.
Thats difficult i know, the box is so small for explanations. hmmm.
How many letters fit in a textbox for the events? I can think about an explanation.

No need for rewriting the info text if the script would have worked as described in the text - which it did not. Text space limit is 270 letters, if you must know.

Thanks for reporting that bug. I've uploaded a script fix here:

That archive contains a folder called DATA which you will have to copy and paste into your game's main folder, just like a regular update, overwriting the old files.
All other players of the mod should apply the fix too!

@robotron: I am absolutley enjoying out two MP games. A lot of action everywhere and the decisive phase has just started.
Looks like a long war, i guess no earlier victory than turn +45.
Anyway...i have been thinking some time about how to bring the austrian navy into play with an event. Until today i have not seen one that takes the KUK Navy into account.
Maybe there is one, i just did not see it yet.
I thought abouth the "Ancona-Raid" that the entire autrian navy executed just after italy declared war in the CP.
Once italy opened hostilities, the autrian fleet retaliated and bombarded the adriatic italian coastline in a surprise attack.
Targets were mostly infrastructure, railroads the harbour. Is was succesfully conducted and is not yet part of the game.
It does appear a little like the battlecruiser goeben/breslau raid in the black sea/sevastopol. Basically the german equivalent event reduces the ammo production and a ship transport of russia. something equal could be done for austria and italy. This event should only be in the event pool if...
a) Italy declares war on CP AND
b) Austria still has its dreadnought that they start with.
Adding this event would have many advantages:
a) Italy joining the Entente shifts tha balance totally to entente as italy has a nice navy, good PP, many generals and can build almost everything.
Who ever has italy on his side...will likely win. This event would rebalance this a little. Yes, Italy is a painfull enemy, but with this event CP could reduce their strengh a little
b) it would add a fantastic navy dynamic in the mediterranian sea...entente players have to hunt down and try to destroy the only austrian dreadnought from game start. I can imaging this will lead to more naval activity in the med. Entente players want to prevent this event from happening, CP have the choice to hunt GBR convoys or risk loosing the Dreadn.
c) would be just nice to have an austrian naval event. austria does not even have any convoys to protect.
Suggested effect:
- Loss 1 train capacity OR 1 transport capacty of italy (random)
- Reduces PP of a (maybe even all?) adriatic Italian cities to zero.
- Can be prevented if austrian dreadnought fleet is sunk.
