In particular his initial army chosen gave me headache after headache. Also, his play style is ruthless & aggressive

Badger73 (Roman 105-25 BC with Armenian 331 BC–252 AD allies) beats telesien (Carthaginian (Hannibal in Italy) 216-203 BC with Campanian 280-203 BC allies) 42-6
An uncrossable river secured the Roman left flank so that I could concentrate my Armenian allied catapracts to guard my right. Roman infantry engaged the Carthagenian foot before it could form into a solid line, allowing favorable advantage to my legionaries in the melee combats. Hats off to a gracious opponent.

Hi Mr Cholo - the game you put up isn't built correctly I'm afraid, its 2000 points.
I've built a new challenge ready for you to pick up.

wellsonian (Roman with Frankish allies) defeats Telesien (Roman with Jewish Allies) 40-9
The battle pivoted around some rough terrain on the shoreline, with our Medium troops battling it out. Very fun game, and very good opponent.

wellsonian (Byzantines) defeats CoryC (Arabs) 62-36
Well played fight. There were several points where it could have gone the other way, but the terrain favored the Byzantines with a steep hill anchoring their left flank.

Division A
ConstantinIX - Palmyran 258-273 AD defeats Nijis - Indian 546-599 AD 62-39
My wall of impregnable legios were beaten by some super Elephants especially the one who resisted alone five turns in a fragmented status against a fully operational legio with a general (80% loss chance each turn for the elephant). This same general, shamed by his incompentency decided to commit suicide the fifth round sending waves of disruption in the midst of the other legios. Boosted by this view, the uber elephant recovered in three turns without a general to return to a fully operational state... Only one legio of the six escaped this turn of fate where my center crumble totally. Fortunately, my archers, medium infantry and skirmishers did the job on the wings. Special mention to my two cataphracts who ran away all the game pursued by an elephant and cavalry units except at the end when one made contact with an elephant and double dropped immediately and the other one who sucessfully disbanded a lancer cavalry (just helped by a flanking attack of another cavalry!) and lost his general in the process (sigh ...).
Thanks for the game Nijis and please let me borrow some of your elephants for the next matches !
(and yes I forgot to say that two of my legio recovered of the elephant trample and were of good use in the rest of the battle but the story is more beautiful whithout petty details)

SLancaster (Roman 197-284 AD) defeated edb1815 (Arab City 300-633 AD with Sassanid 477-590 AD allies). 60-47.
Very hard battle. Edb pushed me all the way and I am sure he will do well in this division. My Roman line held out for long enough to push back the hordes!

I expected the Medians to win. They did in my practice matches.
