Most of my scenarios are historical ones. There are a couple of hypothetical sceanrios and a few early fantasy ones as well.
Many scenarios are partially based on existing ones from other game systems (map and units). I assume these are fairly based within their own gaming environments.
I usually playbalance scenarios using resource income, unit experience, objectives and commanders. This to avoid straying too far away from the basic historical situation.
Playbalancing is difficult as players of course have different ways of playing the game. In addition, core unit purchasing adds another variability.
Basically I have to rely on players' feedback for adjustments and issue fixes.
My regular play testers are a combination of 'pure' players and player/designers.
I'll send you the link to the new Shingle (Anzio) scenario.

Re: Case White 1v1
Hi Erik, when the game finished I received a minor victory. I figure you did too on you side as the Germans. Here is a screen shot. Jim
Re: Erik's Multiplayer scenarios
Yep, it is the failure re the Schleswig-Holstein (a sec obj that has been fixed, it was pointing to arm train).
But I wonder if it would be better to simply label both maj/min vics as simply Victory.

This is a quite small scenario hopefully useful for introducing new OOB-players to the joys of multiplaying.
Map 40x45, 18 turns, about 20 land/air/naval core units each side.
Let the noobie take the Germans, he/she will be handling land/seaborne/airborne invasions as well as assigning land/air/naval commanders and reforming dead units.
Beware that the scenario is not easy to win as the Germans...
Have fun and please report any issues in this thread.

Re: Erik's Multiplayer scenarios
Hi Erik,
I am playing Anzio as UK and I was a bit surprised to have so few units. So I checked the scenario in the editor and I realized that the triggers t2 and t4 didn't work. This explains why I have so few units.

And I have been expecting all the time your big offensive and Peter Falk to come around long before being detective Colombo.JackoBongo wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 2:35 pm Hi Erik,

Stuff changed after the multiplayer beta-test:
Better Allied air unit deployments.

Reserve units and command point reinforcements are now 'synced' for all factions.
More flexible German at start deployments.
Increased number of turns.
Fixed sec obj.
Better briefings.

Re: Erik's Multiplayer scenarios
So does the previous shingle game just get discontinued then? Removing the allied ships is fair, they don't play much of a role unless the Germans go bumbling along the coast for some reason. Wasn't aware there were missing allied units, although now I think of it my team did seem to get the bulk of them compared to my partner. Anyway I'm looking forwards to giving 1.2 a try and thanks for all the hard work.
Re: Erik's Multiplayer scenarios
The US in Shingle had more CPs than units to spend them on.
So I basically split units (engineers and artillery) that had previously been amalgated into one unit.
The leftover CPs where used for infantry/engineer transports.
This fix of course shifts the balance towards the Allies, but the Germans were already too strong anyway (my opinion after 3 matches playing each faction).
If you put up a challenge I'll join it for some fine-tuning excercise.

1v1 Denmark 1.0:
Thanks for the games Erik. I enjoyed playing them. I will put down a few comments for you, and as always, your choice on whether to change anything.
When I was the Germans, the second objective to take both objectives did not get marked as complete (shows 2/3). The Germans had control of both objectives, unless I missed something
The sink all ships is certainly a tough one since the on shore batteries keep the Kriegsmarine subdued.
When I was the Danes, I thought the German air power was overpowering. But the ability of the Danes to reform units actually brought that aspect back in line. So even though you have to endure a lot, the Luftwaffe was not as overpowering as I first though.
Since the Germans can reform ships (possibly purchase, can't remember), I think it is nearly impossible for the Danes to sink all the ships.
The second objective for holding one of the objectives did work correctly on this side. Showed as completed with a 1/1 counter.
I like the island aspect of the conflict. It gives both sides many ways to try to achieve the objectives. Since neither one of us were close to capturing a 4th of 5 objective, that might need a little more balancing. Possibly a little more supply at the ports so the Germans are not undersupplied when in force on the island? I know you have lots of options to choose from.
I liked the scenario and though it was very challenging. As usual, great work!

Re: Erik's Multiplayer scenarios
The link for Operation Shingle in the first post is listed as 1.3, although (to my relief as I feared missing out something!) when I downloaded it's actually 1.2. So Germany is overpowered huh? Guess I better play more cautiously in the 1.1 game... It's still very early going though so there were always bound to be interesting surprises in store.

Thanks for the feedback.
I've started work on 3 scenarios based on your tournament suggestion

Re: Erik's Multiplayer scenarios
There's a Sicily 2vs1 3.3 scenario open in the MP lobby, but I'm told that I have it not installed, even when I have downloaded and extracted it twice.
Any ideas of what can be the problem?
EDIT: Could it be a custom modification?

Re: Erik's Multiplayer scenarios
3.3 had me checking as well, but don't worry
I think it is to do with the side the original poster selected. Something the "powers that be" have known about for quite a while.

Re: Erik's Multiplayer scenarios
There are some PBEM server issues with multiplayer.
One is the 'missing scenario installement', another is the inability to freely selc an available slot.
Nothing to do with the scenario(s) to my knowledge.
