GAME SOUNDS please!!!

Post by ADMIRAL3 »

Sorry for annoying you all but since I don't read anymore complaints against the awful combat and movement sounds of this game I suppose that the problem has been solved.
Is it true...did I loose something should I buy a different audio system? Or - as I believe - nothing happened and we must play happily and deal hearing those timid battle wispers?
Any suggestion any hope for the future? Ty anyway for this marvellous game I'm enjoying so much. LBM

Hi any update on this?

The new PzC 2 sounds dampen my experience also...... particularly infantry movement & tank main guns.

Thanks

I am only guessing!... so I will venture... that they are very well aware of the multitude of generated complaints about this integral-game-omission [Poor or Incorrect or Non-Existent compatible Sound-Effects] has had on the community.

So!... I would say... that simply complaining about it at this time is at the most... a futile-fruitless-effort!. Why-Not..."Instead"... try doing some research and investigation and or make some realistic suggestions as to how to approach and resolve this dilemma to see if some other practical solutions can be studied or looked at!.

A while back... I suggested... contacting the 'Bovington Tank Museum' to see if they could get access to actual recorded tank sounds... as well as contacting the "World of Tanks" online Gaming Enterprise to see if they could get access to their recorded sounds... as they only use actual-real recorded sounds from operational vehicles... to put into their online Game.

Sorry Retributarr, I don't hold enough expertise in informatics to dare giving suggestion but having brought the game and having compared its sounds with other WG I can only complaint.
For instance : the sound effects of OOB WW2 are amazing , could they be translated into the Pzc2 sound system? I can't give an answer but some experts can, I guess. Ty for your replay. LBM

I humbly come back to this topic reminding all developers that a dramatic improvement in game and battle sounds expecially for tracked movements (recon is really silent!!!) and combat sounds will give a great boost to the game. I noticed some slight improvement but tracked movements sounds are instable (sometimes they come out but more frequently not) and always very weak and with very little differences among different tanks or weeled cars. May be is my PC . In this case what sound sw should I use to have some better results ? My lenovoPC and laptop are both working great with OOBWW2 sound system.

Tech Support probably isn't the right section to post in regarding sounds hence lack of response....

if you post a report, i maybe able to tell you why you can't hear sounds etc?

How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.

once the report has been made, just attach it to your post as it's a Txt file which is then permitted to attach to the forum.

help us by helping yourself and provide what's asked for in the stickies, thanks

We are referring to the poor quality sound effects in PzC 2 vs PzC 1, not any technical problem.

Yeah they are pretty crumby. Nothing in this game besides heavy arty to match those sharp, simple, satisfying sound effects from PC1. I'm sure devs know because this has been brought up plenty of times, unfortunately they don't seem too interested in communicating. Hopefully enough spamming these issues will make a difference.
