I will start the draw in about 15 minutes time. I will do Pool B first. The draw is completely open, so anyone can be drawn against anyone now, there is no seeding or anything like that. There are 12 players in a Pool and within that Pool we will need to draw 4 qualifying groups with 3 players in each group. I will draw the first player in each group first and then update the post below. Then I will draw the second player in each group and update the post again. And finally I will draw the third player for each group and do the final update. A full fixture list will be posted on Wednesday.

I will put up the "Arrange your matches here" and "Winner post your results here" threads shortly (they will be opened on October 1st). All the charts and tables are just about done as well. So that just leaves me to post up the fixture lists for Biblical and Themed Event tomorrow. Then we will be ready to go.

Important: this section is trialling a new system where players can state their preference for either 1200 point or 1600 point armies to use 1600 point armies. The default size is 1200 points so matches will be played at that size unless both players have stated a preference for 1600 points.

Either player may set up the challenge in this section. Remember to PM your opponent as well as placing the challenge and password in this thread.

For matches in this section players will select "Open Battle" and will either field a "Medium" (1200 points) or "Large" (1600 points) army and choose a "Medium" or "Wide" battlefield unless otherwise directed. Players may choose historical allies and are free to customise their army before each battle so "Default" is the correct Force Selection option. Terrain will always be "Pot Luck" unless otherwise specified. There are no exceptions to this standard set-up for a match. If a match is set-up incorrectly for any reason then it must be re-started as soon as possible.

Players will need to have the base game, the Legions Triumphant DLC, the Age of Belisarius DLC and the Wolves at the Gate DLC to enter this section of the tournament.

The final % scores for each player are taken from the in-battle display in the top left-hand corner of the screen and not the Final Losses screen that appears after the battle has ended where losses are adjusted for wounded and deserted troops.

Reporting the result of a match is the responsibility of the winning player. However, if you are the loser in a match and notice that the result has not been posted within 24 hours please post the result yourself. This helps to keep the league tables up to date.

Where players finish with the same number of points at the end of the group stage, the points aggregate from the matches between those player will be used to decide the final places in the group table. If this does not separate the players then lots will be drawn to determine which player(s) proceed to the next stage of the competition.
