Unit Charging Again after Routing Unit

Post by SimonLancaster »

Does anyone know the % chance for a charge from a unit chasing after a routing unit? I have asked a few people but no one knows exactly yet.. I was told that it is more likely if the other enemy unit is just one square away. The further away the enemy unit the less likely it is that there will be a charge.

In one game recently, my Warband stopped next to an enemy unit and didn't charge it after charging after a routing unit. In another game, I was lucky when an elephant stopped next to my unit after routing one of my units. Apparently, I was lucky that the elephant didn't get a flank charge!

It's maddeningly random in my experience; sometimes you'll get to exploit an exposed flank, other times the pursuers rush blithely by:( The greater, the distance, the less the chances of such charges though.

Indeed. I've had an elephant flank and rout three enemy units in a row. Don't see that very often though...
