I'm hoping for some advice. I am a fairly adept player at the original Panzer General and have PanzerCorps on my iPad which has the entire extreme number of scenarios and such. Great fun. I'd win, I'd lose, but never got much further than finishing entire campaigns as a sgt or a...whatever the next level up is.
In PanzerCorps2, even on the least challenging setting, starting with Poland North or South, I'm having a rough slog of it...just BAREly doing what I need to do to get to the next scenario. Very frustrating. I've finished Poland...barely, taken Warsaw, but now in Norway...Jeezis, I'm barely getting past Trondheim. It's very frustrating. I'm surprised that even on the 'dweeb' easy setting, I try to take advantage of high ground, multiple attack, and try to reserve the special 'roll on through keep shooting' feature the thanks have, but still...I wonder what's different this time? I'm used to it being a BIT tough, but it's really NOT being much fun with even the easy setting busting my boys!
WOuld love some general advice.. Caveat; I'm doing this, of course, on a PC but have always been a Mac user. I even bought a NEW LAPTOP PC so that I could play just this game...and now...sigh...what a waste!! Hope not!!

Re: Newbie Getting TRASHED!!
I'll try and help out!
First Tip, Youtube Videos! Go on youtube and search for Panzer Corps 2 and then the scenario name that you are having trouble with, and you'll see someone else's playthrough. There are about 3-4 full playthroughs of the game, I think, so you can watch different folks to find one you like.
Next Tip, Undo! If you set your # of undos to infinity, then you can always walk your turn back to the start if you don't like what is happening. Combine this with the fact that the game auto-saves at start and end of each round, and you can avert any trouble that happens.
Third Tip, Reserves: On the Sergeant mode you should be swimming in prestige, so make sure you take advantage of this by customizing your army to the task at hand. Don't include units that won't work on a given level. (In particular, in Norway, if there is no open terrain, then leave the vehicles at home. Infantry, artillery and planes will see you through!)
Final Tip, Actual Tips: (Sorry if this is too basic, it's always a hard balance to strike giving advice.)
1. To destroy an enemy unit, follow the following pattern.
-A. Move a recon unit up next to them
-B. Bomb them with a tactical bomber
-C. Blast them with artillery
-D. Attack them with a tank if they are in the open, or infantry if they are in cover.
They should route at this point
-E. Follow with the Recon
-F. Bomb them again
-G. Hit them with another unit if they are alive
2. At end of your turn, you want your infantry/tanks next to artillery/antitank/AA, and your bombers next to fighters, such that if the enemy attacks, you will have assistance.
Double Final Tip:
The game is, fundamentally, not made to be a hard one. The only thing I can think of that could be giving you these kinds of fits is if you are putting your armor in close terrain, and your infantry in the open. In Panzer Corps 2 you can click on any hex, then mouseover the picture of the terrain and you will see all the details of what is up with it. Make sure to keep your units where they want to be.
In Norway, in particular, there are a lot of roads winding through hills. The difference between a tank on a 'clear' hex and a 'hill' hex is night and day, but they can look very very similar. Click on them to see what they really are before you put your units on them.
-Hope that helps, feel free to ask more detailed questions if there's anything more specific that's giving you trouble.

Re: Newbie Getting TRASHED!!
My tip would be to encircle the enemy as often as possible. The general idea is to encircle some units, suppress them, finish them off, encircle some more units...and so on. Situations where the enemy can recover after your attack should generally be avoided, unless you're doing a preemptive strike. In other words, if you have a choice between attacking a unit that has been encircled (can't recover at the start of the next turn) and a unit that's in the clear, you'd normally want to attack the encircled one...but, sometimes you want to do the opposite in order to force that other unit to reinforce during the next turn instead of attacking. It's also Ok to just wait for suppression from encirclement to kick in instead of attacking entrenched units when necessary.
Taking terrain into account is important too - try to avoid attacking with infantry into an open terrain hex and with tank into city/hills/forest. Basically, infantry attacking a tank in the hills will wreck that tank, but infantry attacking a tank in the open will get wrecked by that tank.
Keep your units supported at the end of your turn as much as possible - flak covering your ground units (you can see what flak gun covers if you select it), arty behind the front lines, fighters next to the bombers.
Just my $0.02
