Panzer Corps 2: DLC's

I go way back in war gaming... and I mean way back! All the way back to Avalon Hill's D-Day.

I played board games for decades, but finding a opponent became increasingly more difficult.

Thus, when the first PANZER GENERAL came out, I was ecstatic!

What an innovation!

Panzer Corps 1 set a new, better, even more outstanding standard!

And though I own and play OOB and some others, Panzer Corps was my favorite, and IMHO, a revelation!

Panzer Corps 2 was simply off the charts GREAT!

Words simply couldn't describe how impressed I was, and still am, with the game.

Everything I could have ever asked for and more!

Having played ALL the PC 1 campaign DCL's (1939-1944) so many times, (10? 12...?) I looked excitedly towards the PC 2 DLC's... and man, was I disappointed!

Where PC 1 and 2 played so well; where the game flowed so smoothly; where playability and fact were so much in sync, I was beside myself happy.

They played WELL!

The DLCs for PC2 do not!

Not sure if they are all that factual or not, but they do NOT flow anywhere near as well as PC 2.

Playability, IMHO, always must be at the fore front in any game, but the DCL's so far, miss the mark.

The Spanish CW, in particular, IMHO, is flat out terrible!

IF the gamer could control the Spanish Army, it "might"..."might" be different.

But you can't.

They race around often making foolish moves that is just flat out annoying; moves that NO commander would ever make.

It was so NOT FUN, that I likely will never, and I mean NEVER play that DLC again.

It just wasn't fun.

That is so contrary to the Campaign DLC's for PC1.

I just finished playing the entire 1939 DLC for the 2nd time, and my opinion hasn't changed.
