Clarification On Historical Enemies.

Post by AlexDetrojan »

When setting up a battle, there are filters that dictate your opponents by date, geography, timeline and proximity. This is all fine, as it shows potential opponents, but there is no filter I am aware of that shows ACTUAL HISTORICAL enemies. If I were picking an army that I know absolutely nothing about(but sounds interesting) lets say the Ghaznavids as an example, I do not know historically who they actually fought. Other than purchasing military history books(expensive) and pouring over their history(which I might do if I found battling with them interesting) how do I know who they actually fought?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

Yes, I've done the Wikipedia thing, but I thought there might be a filter within the battle setup screen that would do that for me(filter by historical opponent). It's a bit(actually more than a bit) cumbersome to jump in and out of the game searching Wikipedia...oh well.

I know it's not exactly what you want, but there are two options within the game that will give you some info on historical opponents; the introduction text to each faction, which is viewable in the Custom Battle/Campaign selection screen, and the Quick Battles screens.
