Evading Past Routers

Post by philqw78 »

I've just had a thought, something that could happen.

2 Bg of LF are fighting each other. One breaks and the second pursues. Its pursuit takes it past a BG of LH facing in the same direction. All are facing down the page.

8) 8) (LH)

____ :P :P (LF)
____  (LF)

Does the pursuing LF have to take it up the bum fromn the LH? Can it go any where else. What if there was a gap of 1-2MU between the routing and pursuing BG?

It's a bit odd the enemy LH is facing the opposite direction from the direction originally faced by its own LF. But if this is the case, AND the LH passed their CT for the LF breaking, AND the next Impact Phase belongs to the LH, then I'd day it's time to get out the KY Jelly. :)

So the LF pursue and at end of pusuit are in a position where the enemy LH can impact phase into them?

If the pursuing LF are not in contact they can try to evade in the direction of the charge, which may be a problem.

It was common for victorious troops to pursue one foe only to find themselves exposed to a counter attack.

If the pursuers are still in contact with the broken troops, then you need to check the definiation of close combat to see whether they can evade. I don't have my rules with me.
