Also, I note that Mike Hart will be in attendence, and that he will be running Late Hungarian. And I think "Of course he will, the sun rises in the east." Hey Dan, why don't you match up Hart and Jeske in Round 1 and issue ear plugs to everyone at the neighboring tables?

RSA in FoG terms refers to some of the choices by we local players.. Really Shite Armies. :)

I am a little surprised to see so many entries from SoA and so few from RoR and LT.
And yet we have no HYW English! If I'd have known I would've brought mine.

Great selection of armies though - 36 in total - and I'm sure many of the duplicates will look very different.

Looking forward to it.

Great selection of armies though
There appears to have been a lot of people with limited imagination who have brought Ottoman Turks ;)

I wonder if Dan could provide the list dates for those armies that don't have them on the published list?

I also note that there will be a surprising (to me, at least) number of knight armies in attendence. It certainly makes me wish I had shown up with the Successor list I was pondering. Players clever enough to bring Pk and El are licking their chops right now.

Bigger question, to me at least, is how many of the Turks took the Serbs?????

Paul Prandon's choice of the lone bow-meister army is looking good with 2/3 of the armies listed having a large contingent of mounted. He'll probably end up facing the Catalan's, Seleukids, E. Scots, and SantaClausisHerman'sdad.

I don't think he's the only bow army is he? Not that bows are particularly good against heavily armoured mounted....

Bow-meister in the classical sense. (Aussie style).

While others have their share (you and steve notably), PB's is really the only one that is using bow as their main weapon.

While we are going on about army choices, let me note with pleasure Vince Solfronk launching the Sub-Human British out into the brave new world of FoG. Hooray for King Arthur!

You mean crap?

Have Dave Ruddocks Skythians left their bows at home? I rather expect Ottomans to have lots of troops with the bow as their main weapon as well ...

I think that was only a brief phase in Australian DBM. I seem to recall it was successful because heavu infantry was unfashionable there at that time.

Nubians are unlikely to have more than 40 bases of bow I suspect. I've got more than that with the Persians

Harsh but fair.

That largely depends on the dice that are handed out.... I have many more than 40 bases with Bow :)
