Hi I'm new to the game and the forum.

I have a small 'problem' in the sense that I don't seem to maintain the experience gained by the army. Only the Panzers seem to maintain experience for the simple reason that they are in the thick of the fight most of the time. Am I missing something? Obviously other units like infantry take casualties really quick and their experience goes down really fast too.

Also what about the Vichy France event? As the Germans I just moved the whole army through France to the borders of Spain and invaded it. What is the effect of this event?

I'll give it a go, though I'm fairly newish to it myself as well.

While a unit gains experience from combat, it losses it to replacements (the newbies are still wet around the ear), and this is especially so if you're low on manpower. For Air and Armoured unites though, experience seems not to be reset by reinforcements.

As to the Vichy France Event, CEAW doesn't actually model the Vichy France (mainland). Algeria separates from France and becomes a Neutral country. Syria which was already against you transfers from French to English ownership, giving the Poms a little bit of a boost and denying you the income from it.
