iPad Version?
iPad Version?
Game looks interesting. It also looks like it would be perfect for the iPad.
Re: iPad Version?
Hi akivett, thank you for your interest!
The game is planned for PC only and there are currently no plans for an iPad port.

Re: iPad Version?
Bit of a shame, as the interface size is looks like it is definitely designed for touch screen. If this is not inteded for iPad, then please make the interface size much much much smaller.

Hi Surtur,
I understand why you are focusing on one version of this game. Not only have you changed and upgraded the game completely on the technical side, you also plan to develop it into a juggernaut. And since I own a Windows PC, I am very much looking forward to that.
However, with the recent WWDC 2020 in mind, I do believe that you will leave money on the table, unless you decide to develop for the Apple devices, specifically the Mac and iPad. Computers with Apple silicon will be the future - and that future will be here sooner that I imagined just a month ago. The good news is that you will be able to develop for one platform - say iPad - and the game will then be able to run on any Mac with Apple Silicon.
I sincerely hope you will consider doing so. I have played Panzer Corps on my iPad for several years now and it’s a perfect fit for that device. With the new file system and the convergence of all Apple devices to run on their own chips, Panzer Corps 2 on Apple devices would be a much more feature-full experience than Panzer Corps ever was.
Yours truly,

It is still surprising to see some people STILL think Slitherine should dance to Apple's tune - especially after they removed their iPad game "Afghanistan '11" because it dealt with a contemporary conflict, while allowing a similar counterinsurgency game to still be sold to this day (not to mention what they did to ALL the 32-bit apps & games that people were still using - or that they made more difficult to find paid apps in Apple's App Store; one can now only search for "Free Apps" or "All Apps.")
And considering that this company makes the vast majority of its profits from the sale of Windows games, I don't think they're leaving THAT much on the table. They only have to be concerned if Microsoft decides to abandon their Windows PC OS for one that only works on ARM processors (which, considering the vast number of custom "Business-Critical" applications out there, that is not likely to happen anytime soon...)

Re: iPad Version?
I as the developer would say that the biggest problem FOR ME with the mobile ports is the need to completely change the UI/UX that could lead to the changes in the gameplay.
