air squadrons released Red Storm

Playing the first scenario of red Storm. Game keeps telling me new air squadrons have been released. But there is no place to put them. When you try to deploy them there are no spaces on the game map. Is this an error or am I doing something wrong?

There's one of those auxiliary airstrips in the north-eastern corner of the map. You can deploy directly into it (and take off in same turn).

How many air strips are on the map? I only see one. The one in the NE of the map will not allow me to deploy any more air units. I did place some there at the beginning of the game. I have wasted resources purchasing two units and cannot place the on the one airstrip.

Me too...

I try to purchase air units and put them on the airfield NE of the map. No purchase screen... and the air unit in my rooster got no free deploy field on the map...???

After the initial deployment stage you can put your new air unit directly into the airstrip (the tent-like thing), then take off. So onto the highlighted hex (pls. see below); not next to it, as you'd normally do on bigger airfields.

If that doesn't work for you could you please attach a savegame.

What is troubling in this scenario is still having the ability to deploy new air units despite negative Air Supply :

Sigh, nobody reads my beta forum posts it seems...

There is off-map air supply in this battle, as there weren't airbases nearby (airstrips are just there for gameplay), but air support played an important role.
