If there's no downside I don't have a prob changing it. I give it a try post-Red Storm release.

I just think it is odd the recon jeep cannot do what the medics can.

Well, one "downside" would be that you could not play the Pearl Harbor mission of the Pacific DLC anymore...

If it is a matter of the med jeep converting certain hexes or being in certain locations, this is easy to script.
I think bebro did something like that in Morning Sun (?).
I can't remember exactly what the jeep did in Pearl, other than driving around like nuts.

Exactly that. And capturing towns/airfields for aircraft/AA activation.

FWIW (contrary to the guy who gave you a hard time, bebro, I know what it means ), the medical jeep has no business claiming territory. It has less claim to and means for territorial ownership than even a recon car.

Don't forget that this unit "costs" like 10 spec points (Field Medic) and that should count for something.

Maybe we could get a general HQ unit costing 10 spec and with the ability to capture locations (and maybe other attributes)?
Then relegate the med jeep to proper duties and reduce the spec cost.
