Favorite Faction + 1 strategy

If you were obliged to pick 1 faction (which can have multiple army lists, within the same ERA) , which one would it be?

my pick is Thracians. Even tho i am mostly interested in successors both politically and militairly , Thracians are the most interesting and balanced faction imo as long as they are in good hands

Strategy i like to use is : Spend points equally on skirmishers and main line infantry.
Light inf: foot and cavalry
main line: mix of everything, mostly focusing on big swords. mix it with impact foot (warbands) or some cheap massed peltasts

Tactics against heavy inf faction (balanced, standard faction): split army into 3 blocks usually 6-12 hexes apart from eachother . find suitable terrain (they are medium infantry) and camp/avoid enemy untill enemy gets reckless from the skirmishing fire
Tactics against nomads: dont play against them

For fun: Byzantine
For win: Arab Conquest.

Strategy for Byzantine:
Lancers block enemy infantry and every unit fires until it is disturpt enemy and then attacks.

Strategy for Arab Conquest:
It is very flexible army.
But most time my strategy:
Buy every veteran spearman. Buy all skirmishes and rest of points go for cheapest horses or veteran dailami if here is some rough terrain.
Horses keep flanks, skirmishes protect VS, VS attack (but don't hurry if you advantage in skirmishes)
