I bet this can be verified by creating such a situation and bringing up the full dialog (cntrl?) which should should any debit for these disorder states. But I think 76mm is correct.

Disorder, in addition to effecting various POAs, is a straightforward combat % malus. Slight Disorder is 7%. I believe Moderate is 22%.

Moderate Disorder = Disorder = 22% combat malus

I know but just cannot get used to using it :-) The game just look so much better than having tool tips appearing all over the place. I mean after all Alexander never used them :-) Thanks for the info.

TheGrayMouser wrote: Fri Sep 04, 2020 8:37 pm There is a reduction in combat power ( which is visible in the combat logs) when you are in the various degrees of "disorder" from avderse terrain and or from elephant/camel stink... Severe Disorder also gives a -1 cohesion test when losing a combat, Units are not considered steady when above slightly disordered ( which generally only effects spears and pikes I think)
Thanks!

You don't have to have them on all the time. Just hold down the CTRL key when you want to check something out.

I had 2 battles yesterday Rome against Carthage (2nd Punic):

Velites did beautiful against elephants from the front and also stealthed around from the rear. They broke even before reaching the front line.

This is historically correct too. Elephants were quite vulnerable to heavy projectiles.

Yes that makes perfect sense but how did cavalry, be they lance , spear or javelin armed do historically against elephants?

Ain't that the problem? Horses are smarter than the people riding them!
