Re: ELO Ratings
But, how is it related with Slitherine tournaments?

Re: ELO Ratings
It is used in some tabletop miniatures tournaments. There has to be some affirmative action by the tournament director to submit the tournament points to whomever is controlling the ratings for that game. I didn't know it was connected to PC games.
Re: ELO Ratings
Would people be interested in setting up ELO ratings for FOG2? I've taken a look at a few programs and seems like it's just a matter of plugging in the names and results (W/L/D) of matches; the program then does all the math and spits out the rankings. I think I may plug in the data from my previous Chaos Tourney seasons as a test.

Re: ELO Ratings
I have posted ELO rankings for Chaos Tourney participants for each of the last three seasons. Those are cumulative rankings and I will update them as each season wraps up.

Re: ELO Ratings
I settled on an old and simple windows program called ELO Rater Utility. Nothing fancy at all, but does what I want to do. There are fancier ones around and a number web based services, but I like simple.
Re: ELO Ratings
Are there any spreadsheet wizards around who might lend me a hand with an ELO spreadsheet? The program I've been using is pretty old and doesn't allow for date export nor does it let you see more than about 30 names at a time in the display which limits capturing by screenshots.
I looked around a bit online and found a few spreadsheets, but none that did what I wanted, or would work in openoffice/libreoffice.
I have a basic idea of what I want to do, but lack to the knowledge of how to put it together in a spreadsheet. Essentially, I want the top sheet to serve as the player data/ranking page and the second sheet to serve as the game log where all the data would be entered. As game data would be entered, I want to update the player data on the first page.
If anyone can lend me a hand, I'd appreciate it!

Re: ELO Ratings
Sure: if you still need help, I can try to lend you that hand, Karvon. Please let me know what you want and also how that ELO rating is calculated.Karvon wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 11:51 pm Are there any spreadsheet wizards around who might lend me a hand with an ELO spreadsheet?
